Samantha Ruth Prabhu, a cherished pan-Indian actress, is loved by her fans for her superhit films and pleasant nature. Her large fanbase eagerly anticipates her every project. Samantha is excited for her next show, Citadel: Honey Bunny, in which Varun Dhawan will be her co-star. The actress talked about the intricacy of her character in the Raj & DK series and how important the project is to her.
Aside from a few films like Eega, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaathal, and others, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been involved in films that couldn't make big numbers at the box office, such as Shaakuntalam, Kushi, Yashoda, and numerous others. As of right now, the actress has acknowledged that she has learnt from her past mistakes.
In an 'Ask Me Anything' session on her Instagram stories, Samantha Ruth Prabhu answered a range of fan questions on her job, life, and much more. In response to a fan's question, the diva revealed how much work she had to accomplish simultaneously for her role in Citadel: Honey Bunny. Additionally, she gave a sneak peek at what to expect from her character.
Samantha revealed that she is dedicated to embracing more challenging roles and pushing herself to the limit in each one. When she looked back on her path, she realised that she had made some poor choices in the past and that she had experienced failures and disappointments. She said:
"I made a promise to myself that I will challenge myself with every role that I play. Each challenge is more difficult than the last one. And I agree I made some mistakes in the past; things haven’t really worked out and I accept failure. And also, I accept that I might not have done my best in the last few films."
Samantha expressed joy and confidence in what her upcoming film, Citadel, would offer, in addition to advice on overcoming obstacles and improving upon past performance. She explained how the film's intricacies and the depths of her part made it a compelling watch.
Samantha expressed her delight in her work on Citadel, feeling proud of herself for finishing such a challenging assignment before it was even released. Though she acknowledged that the audience would ultimately be the real judge of her performance, she called it her most complex and difficult role to date. In her words:
"Citadel is something that I am truly proud of, even before its release. Yes, for the fact that I was able to complete this project, so I am already proud of it. I also do believe that it is the most layered, complicated, and challenging role that I have played in my career. But I am just going to allow you to be the judge of that."
Citadel: Honey Bunny is the first Indian spin-off, or prequel, to the popular American television series of the same name. Raj & DK's team directed it. In addition to Samantha, Varun Dhawan, a Bollywood actor, plays the male lead. On November 7, 2024, it will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
