For the unversed, Samantha and Chay parted ways in 2021, after 4 years of marriage. However, now the actress recently shared the stage with her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya’s mother, Amala Akkineni. Samantha Ruth Prabhu completes 15 years in the film industry

The gorgeous actress Samantha, who predominantly worked in Telugu and Tamil films, recently completed 15 years of her journey as an actor. Following her contribution to the film industry for so many years, Samantha was honoured at a Television award show. She marked her appearance at the Zee Telugu Awards ceremony by wearing a yellow saree and paired it with a matching sleeveless blouse.

A promo was uploaded by the TV channel, Zee Telugu, where Samantha was seen smiling and blushing at the same moment. The actress delivered an emotional speech and shared how special the 15-year-long journey was. Samantha also thanked her audience who supported her all through her journey. In her words:

“Telugu industry has given me everything. I promise to always put the Telugu audience first. Thank you.”

Samantha’s ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya’s mom, Amala Akkineni claps hard while Samantha delivers her emotional speech

Soon after the promo was released, fans started showering love to Samantha. However, one particular moment stole everyone’s attention. Amala Akkineni, step-mother of Sam’s ex-husband, Chay, was seen clapping hard when Samantha was delivering the heartfelt speech. The expression on her face clearly stated her pride for the actress.

For the uninitiated, since her divorce from Naga Chaitanya, Samantha kept a safe distance from the Akkineni family. This is the first time after her separation that she is seen sharing the same stage with her ex-husband’s family. Amala’s presence during the event came as a shock to many. One user wrote, "Nagarjuna's wife claps" with a shocking reaction emoji. Another user commented, "Amala was also at the event." Few were impressed by the reaction of Amala. Showing love to the moment, a user wrote, "How Amala appreciates."

For those unaware, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya got divorced in October 2021. The duo was one of the most loved couples in the Tollywood industry. After 4 years of marriage, the couple parted ways. Following the duo’s divorce announcement, Samantha and Chay faced huge criticism online. Later, the duo put up their own reasons behind the divorce.

Samantha tied the knot with Naga Chaitanya back in 2017. The couple had two grand ceremonies in Goa, including a Hindu and a Christian ceremony, as Chay is Hindu and Samantha is Christian. Currently, Naga Chaitanya is married to Sobhita Dhulipala, while Samantha is rumoured to be dating director, Raj Nidimoru.
