Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Emotional Wedding Vow For Chaitanya, Revealed He Would Be A 'Perfect Father'

Samanatha Ruth Prabhu gave love another chance and got married to filmmaker, Raj Nidimoru. The actress is one of the most beloved and sought-after in the Telugu film industry. Before marrying Raj, Samantha was married to Tollywood’s heartthrob, Naga Chaitanya. However, after three years of their wedding, Samantha and Chaitanya called it quits and parted ways.

As Samantha got married to Raj Nidimoru, her emotional wedding vow for Chaitanya during their Christian wedding ceremony went viral. In the video, Samantha looked stunning in a white gown, while Chaitanya complemented her in a black suit. In the clip doing the rounds, Samantha was seen getting totally absorbed in emotions.

She gathered all her emotions and spoke about her bond with Chaitanya. Heaping praises on Chaitanya, Samantha called him the greatest man. She also went on to describe how he would make for a ‘perfect father’. In her words:

“Because of you I can feel myself slowly and surely becoming what I have always dreamt of being. You are the greatest man I have ever known and I know that one day you will be a perfect father to our beautiful child. I’ll choose you in a hundred lives and hundred worlds and in any reality. I choose you.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s ugly divorce

Samantha met Chaitanya during the filming of their debut film, Ye Maaya Chesave. During the course of the shooting, the two had struck a great friendship. Their friendship soon turned into love, and they began their forever journey on October 6, 2017, in a destination wedding in Goa as per both Hindu and Christian rituals.

When everything seemed amazing in Samantha and Chaitanya’s married life, the couple shocked their fans by announcing their separation. Days before their fourth wedding anniversary, Samantha and Chaitanya issued an official statement about the split, shattering the hearts of their fans.

What led to Samantha and Chaitanya’s divorce?

There were a lot of theories and rumours regarding Samantha and Chaitanya’s separation. One of them was her bold roles and item numbers. Her s*x scene in The Family Man 2 added more tension in the relationship. According to an inside source, Naga Chaitanya and his father, Nagarjuna, weren’t too pleased with Samantha’s skin show on screen after marriage. The family tried to voice their opinion to Samantha, but she refused to give in to their patriarchal mentality.

After Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their divorce, reports began circulating in the media that the actress was offered alimony of Rs. 200 crores. However, according to a report in India Today, Samantha had declined the offer. A source close to her had revealed that Samantha had refused the alimony and did not want to take a single penny from Chaitanya or his family.

After Samantha’s split from Chaitanya, she faced a really difficult time. It was at that moment that she met Raj Nidimoru, who offered her the show, The Family Man 2. Slowly, the duo became friends and eventually fell in love. On December 1, 2025, she announced her intimate wedding to Raj at the Linga Bhairavi Temple at the Isha Yoga Centre.
