Finally, four days before their fourth wedding anniversary, Samantha and Chaitanya released an official statement about ending their marriage, leaving their massive fanbase shattered. Soon after their divorce, rumours about Chaitanya and actress Sobhita Dhulipala’s affair started making rounds. But the duo never reacted to the same. Now, a clip of Chaitanya and his ex-wife, Samatha Ruth Prabhu, from their wedding, is doing the rounds, in which the stunning actress was seen getting emotional as she took her vows. In the viral clip, which was taken from the couple’s Christian wedding, Samantha was dressed in a white gown, while Chaitanya looked handsome in a black suit.
While taking her vows, Samatha took a moment, wiped off her tears, and stated how Chaitanya would make a ‘perfect father’ to their child. In her words:
“Like how all arguments will be resolved without a change of tone and how I’m never allowed to get away with anything but crying. But because of you I can feel myself slowly and surely becoming what I have always dreamt of being. You are the greatest man I have ever known and I know that one day you will be a perfect father to our beautiful child. I’ll choose you in a hundred lives and hundred worlds and in any reality. I choose you.”

Samantha was shattered after her separation from Naga Chaitanya, and her anger was quite visible when she appeared in one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan 7. When the host, Karan Johar asked her whether she and her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, had hard feelings for each other, the actress confirmed it and said:

For the unversed, Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjuna broke the news about his son's engagement to Sobhita on his X handle. In an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna talked about Naga Chaitanya’s engagement with Sobhita and how Chay was depressed after his separation from Samantha. In his words:
“It went very very well. Chay has found happiness again. He is very happy. So am I! It has not been an easy time for Chay or the family. The separation from Samantha left him very depressed.
