Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the most popular Indian actresses who has worked mostly in Tamil and Telugu films. She is admired for her honesty, beauty, and memorable roles in films like Manam, Super Deluxe, and The Family Man. Samantha's personal life has always been a subject of interest for the media, particularly after her divorce from her former husband, Naga Chaitanya. She has maintained her silence on how things unfolded, but the actress has been vocal in sharing the challenges and criticism that came her way. In a new interview, the Family Man 2 actress revealed if she feels envious of her exes moving on in their life.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu hasn't confirmed dating anyone after her separation. However, her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, has married for the second time with actress, Sobhita Dhulipala. Samantha never commented on it, but in a recent interview with GQ, she was asked if she feels any kind of 'envy' over her exes moving ahead in their life. In her response, the actress gave an unfiltered response and explained that she has witnessed many things in her life that have taught her not to give any space to envy.
At the same time, she feels envy is the quality she would never want to become a part of her life. Although Samantha earlier shared that she was made to feel guilt over her broken marriage and was given titles by society over it, she has continuously kept herself away from feeling jealous over such things. She firmly believes that envy is unhealthy. In her words:
"I've been through too much in my life to dwell on that. One quality that I completely dissociate myself from is envy. I refuse to let that be a part of my core. I think envy is the root of all evil. Everything else is fine, but there's no space for anything as unhealthy as envy."
Apart from the societal challenges related to her personal life, Samantha Prabhu mentioned that she faced a lot of pressure to be perfect to others. She explained that she felt stressed about 'fitting in' and meeting the unrealistic expectations of others. At the same time, since acting requires a person to travel and stay at different places, Samantha admitted that the person gets too lonely after a point where their insecurities begin to find their place. She was quoted as saying:
"Half the time, you're living out of a suitcase, going from one hotel room to another. It gets really, really lonely, and this job has a way of feeding into your worst insecurities, your biggest demons."
Samantha Ruth Prabhu returned after a brief hiatus with Citadel: Honey Boney, co-starring Varun Dhawan. She received much praise for her acting and action sequences in the film. The actress will be next seen in Raj and DK's web series, Rakt Brahmand, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur.
