Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj Nidimoru got married on December 1, 2025, at the Linga Bhairavi Temple at Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Samantha was earlier married to Naga Chaitanya back in 2017, and in 2021, the couple headed for a divorce and kept the reason for the same private. Now, Samantha deleted all her wedding as well as vacation snaps with Chay, apart from one where she wished him happy birthday by sharing a throwback snap from her white wedding.

Samantha has almost deleted all her wedding and vacation snaps with her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, from her Instagram. However, netizens found that her birthday wish snap for Chay, where she called him her everything. She also prayed that God give him whatever he wanted and what his heart desired. The snap looked from their white wedding where Samantha gave Chay a kiss. A user seeing the viral snap on Reddit wrote, "She mentioned forever in the last line. And she divorced and cheated him, wow hypocrisy at its peak. How is it called cheating after getting divorced?"

A netizen shared that Samantha may have wanted to keep Chay's memories and said, "Because she deleted every other part of that story. If she wanted to keep memories, she wouldn’t have wiped everything else. That’s why keeping just this one post feels intentional." Another user wrote, "Everything aside, damn, they looked so good together. She must have some special memory related to this photo/the moment. "She has moved on, but may hold this moment dearly, I mean, the fact that she was married before can't be erased, right?" said a third user.

Samantha reportedly has even deleted pictures with Naga Chaitanya from actor Rana Daggubati's wedding. A report by the Hindustan Times suggests that a few snaps of Chay are still there on Samantha's account, dating back to 2017, and they also have their common friends. A few snaps featuring the ex pair with their dog are also there on Chay's Instagram handle. Samantha and Chay wrote a joint post asking their fans to support them during their divorce and to respect their privacy. Their note read:

"To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thank you for your support."

Samantha and Raj had a professional relationship on the sets of The Family Man 2 that released in 2021. The show was created by Raj and DK.
