Samantha Ruth Prabhu Didn't Believe Naga Chaitanya When He Proposed To Her, 'Say It Like You Mean..'

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya were once hailed as the most adored couples in Tollywood. They shared the screen in the 2010 hit movie, Ye Maaya Chesave, and started dating each other shortly after. Samantha and Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017. However, they ended their four-year marriage in 2021 and announced their divorce. Soon after that, Naga started dating Sobhita Dhulipala but kept their relationship under wraps, and now, the couple is engaged.

When Naga Chaitanya proposed to Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Once, Samantha Ruth Prabhu mentioned that she didn't believe Naga Chaitanya when he expressed his love for her as he wasn't sincere. Almost eight years back, in a conversation with TFPC on their official YouTube channel, Samantha and Naga opened up about their love life. During the interaction, the host asked Chay to propose to Samantha then and there. While Chay was feeling a bit shy, Samantha jokingly urged him and said:

"Say it like you mean it."

Samantha didn't believe Chay when he proposed to her

Chaitanya then showcased his romantic side and said, "From the bottom of my heart, Samantha, I love you." However, the actress wasn't satisfied with Chay's proposal and asked the interviewer, "Did you believe that?" Samantha also playfully shared that she didn't believe it and asked him to say it again like he really meant it. So, Chay proposed to Samantha again and mentioned that he only says things if he truly means it.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala's engagement

It was on August 8, 2024, when Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala broke the internet with their sudden engagement. Taking to X, Nagarjuna dropped two pictures from the intimate ceremony and penned a heartfelt note along with it. The loving father shared that the duo's engagement took place at 9:42 am and revealed the significance of the date 8.8.8. Nagarjuna also welcomed Sobhita into their family and wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness. He wrote:

"We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 am!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love."

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala's engagement date has a connection with Samantha Ruth Prabhu?

While Naga Chaitanya gave love another chance by getting engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is healing from her autoimmune disease, Myositis. Moreover, if rumours are to be believed, it is being stated that Chaitanya got engaged to Sobhita on the same day that his ex-wife, Samantha, proposed to him. When the pictures of Naga Chaitanya's engagement went viral, a netizen dropped a throwback picture of him with Samantha and pointed out that the latter had proposed to him on the same date i,e. August 8.
