Sheeba Chadha, who has started her journey from theatres, entered film industry with her first film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial, she was portraying the role of 'Nandini' a.k.a. Aishwarya Rai's chachi. Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sheeba revealed seeing Salman Khan storming out of the set after falling down.
During the interview, Sheeba revealed that she had seen Salman's tantrums on set, when he stormed out of the shoot and accidentally hit an elderly crew member. Sheeba denied seeing Sanjay Leela Bhansali's anger episode, but accepted she had seen the angry side of Salman. She was quoted as saying:
"I think this reputation came much later, but back then, I didn’t really see him behave in an objectionable manner. You could, of course, tell that he was a very passionate director. He certainly had the air of someone working on a very big first film, with very big stars. But I don’t remember him ever losing it. I didn’t feel intimidated by him. But Salman, yes; he’s quite, temperamental."
Talking about Salman, Sheeba shared that he tripped and fell on the sets, after which he stormed out of the sets. Not only this, he banged the door so hard that the old lightman who was standing behind the door got slightly hurt. Sheeba called it a strange moment and Salman's reaction. She said:
"I remember he tripped and fell, and he just stormed out of the sets. Unhone darwaza aise pheka (he slammed the door so hard), and there was an old lightman behind the door who got slightly hurt. I was like, baap re, aisa hota hai kya with stars."
Not only this, Sheeba revealed that on the sets she faced another incident when there was a scene which required Salman's character and Aishwarya's character to hug her. However, Salman straight away denied hugging her, which halted the whole shoot. After which, the director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali stepped in to resolve the matter. Sheeba was quoted as saying:
"He had to hug me, and Salman refused. He said, 'I won't hug'."
Earlier, in an interview, Smita Jaykar, who played Aishwarya Rai's mother in the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, shared details about the actress' past relationship with Salman. She revealed shocking details about Salman and Aishwarya's love story that blossomed during the shooting of the film. "At that time their love story had just started, it blossomed there, so it was showing and it worked very well for the film. I remembered one scene from the song Aankhon Ki Gustakhiya, where Salman had to go all the way round as Ash and me was standing next to each other, as I was like a mother to her all the time. He goes and touches her like this, and moves ahead. Sanjay said, 'Why did you touch her you are not supposed to touch her.' You know the feeling of touching and vo jab naye-naye pyaar mein saara-sara hota hai. He said, 'Oh, I didn't know'. Fir se vo shot hua."
