Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan never misses a chance to entertain fans with his quick wit and humorous responses. The industry’s favourite Bhaijaan is no stranger to the infamous nepotism debate, but this time, he tackled it heads-on in his signature style. Recently, a video of Salman from an event in Dubai has been making rounds on the internet, where the superstar admitted to nepotism in the industry.
A video from Salman’s recent Dubai visit has taken social media by storm. The video was from the grand launch of his nephew, Ayaan Agnihotri’s latest track, Universal Laws, in Dubai. The event was attended by Salman and others from the Khan family, including Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Helen, Uma, Salma Khan, Neha Dhupia, and Angad Bedi. When the event’s host, Kris Fade praised Salman and his family for backing Ayaan’s career, Bhaijaan left everyone in splits by saying:
“That’s what nepotism is! His parents, good producers. Both the kids, Alizeh and Ayaan.”
For the unversed, Ayaan is the son of Salman’s sister, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and her husband, Atul Agnihotri. After his humorous remark, the host and the audience cheered enthusiastically as Salman officially launched his nephew’s song.

This isn’t Ayaan’s first collaboration with Salman. The duo previously worked on You Are Mine, where Ayaan rapped alongside his uncle. Ahead of the launch of his latest work, Universal Laws, Ayaan had revealed in an interview with IANS, that he would collaborate with his mamu, Salman. He was quoted as saying:
"Mamu and Vishal Mishra (the composer) were working on the song for some time. They had also shot a music video and were very close to bouncing off the final output and releasing it. But Mamu felt that something more could be added to the track."
On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in a cameo role in Varun Dhawan’s latest film, Baby John, which premiered on Christmas 2024. The actor is gearing up for his next big project, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj, is reportedly set for an Eid 2025 release.
