Malaika Arora was previously married to Arbaaz Khan, and they have a son named Arhaan Khan. Despite their separation, Malaika shares a great bond with Arbaaz and his family. As Malaika's father, Anil Mehta, passed away after committing suicide on September 11, 2024, Arbaaz and his family arrived at her residence to support her. However, Salman Khan was nowhere to be seen.
Salman Khan did not make it to Malaika Arora's house or the funeral to pay his last respect to Anil Mehta. While the reason behind his absence is yet to be confirmed, it looks like the actor is not in the city. If reports are to be believed, Salman is currently shooting for his upcoming film, Sikander, with Rashmika Mandanna. Owing to his professional commitments, Salman chose to skip Malaika's dad's funeral.

Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora got separated in 2016 after 19 years of marital bliss. Back then, it was revealed that Malaika's growing closeness with Arjun Kapoor was the reason behind her divorce. After the divorce, once in an interview, Arbaaz shared how humans have a tendency to crave more in their lives. He was quoted as saying:
"Human beings would still want (more) and you also have people who say I couldn't have asked for a better woman or a better wife, I am so happy. Yes, those scenarios also exist. But, perfection is something that is a constant thing you need to achieve. It is not that you have achieved it and it's gonna stay. It's everyday hard work. To continue to be where you have to be."
