Being a single child comes with its own pros and cons. There are no ‘apne bhai/behen se bhi share kar lena’ issues in your life when it comes to gifts as you have it all for yourself. There’s no fighting over the TV remote, window seat while travelling and you don’t have to face nagging or bullying at home. On the other hand, you don’t have company in your mischievous plans, no cover-ups for your sneak outs, and no one to entertain you on vacations. But the best part is that ‘you’ are the apple of your parents’ eyes and you never have to compete with someone for their love and attention. And you are the sole receiver of all the pampering. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sakshi Singh Dhoni’s daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni is enjoying being a single child and not only is she loved to the core by her star parents, but the nation loves her too! And why not? From making rangoli at school, pulling off the plank like a pro, teaching dance to her cricketer-daddy, lessoning her unicorn to eat vegetables, saying "how are you?" in six languages, tuning up the guitar and flaunting her singing skills to giving a shoulder massage to her daddy and spellbinding her fans by singing Malayalam songs, the list is endless when it comes to why we love Ziva so much!

For a show on Star Sports, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had expressed how his daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni has changed him as a person. Speaking about fatherhood, Dhoni had stated, "I don't know whether it has changed me as a cricketer, as a person yes of course because daughters are very close to their fathers. In my case the problem is when she (Ziva) was born I was not there (three years ago), most of the time I was playing cricket, so everything bad somehow is thrown at me (to deal with)." Sakshi Singh Dhoni and Ziva Singh Dhoni used to always accompany Mahendra Singh Dhoni on his matches and were his constant cheerleaders. Speaking of his routine back then, Dhoni had stated, "I had a wonderful time with her (Ziva), she was there for the whole of IPL and one of her biggest requests used to be I have to go to the ground, that is lawn for her. And also, there are lot of kids in the team. I would get up by 1:30, 2:30 or 3 in the afternoon. Ziva is up by the time, she gets up by 8.30 or 9, have her breakfast, engage with everyone, start playing... I feel it just relaxes us a bit more when the kids are playing with each other. I don't know how much she follows cricket, how much she understands, but I have to bring her one day for the post match presentation and she (can) just start answering all the questions.”
Already a fashionista-in-the-making, you will always spot the little princess donning the stylish of outfits, accompanying her star parents, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sakshi Singh Dhoni. At Poorna Patel’s sangeet ceremony, Ziva had rocked it with her ‘sneakers under her lehenga’ look! What further caught everyone’s fancy was Ziva, putting on her dancing shoes and shaking a leg to Enrique Iglesias’s, Bailando and Rihanna’s, Work Work. See how adorably the little one is trying her best to keep up with her mommy and other guests, who wanted to dance with her.
In an interview with The Times of India, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had revealed how his life changed with a smile that his little angel, Ziva Singh Dhoni gives him. He had remarked, "When she was born I was not in India, had not seen her. It was a tough period. Your life does change with the kind of smile the baby gives you. She doesn't care whether I play for my country or play for a good franchise like Chennai. She wants to cry, she cries. It gives a very good feeling. You know, the first willing hug from my daughter’s side came only in the last 15 days! I’m enjoying that and it’s actually a special moment — now she recognises me, and tries to interact with me. But since she’s spent way more time with her mom, she often calls me ‘mama’ instead of ‘papa’! But I’ve somehow learnt to make my peace with that.” (Also Read: Izhaan Mirza Malik Walking Hand-In-Hand With Daddy, Shoaib Malik Makes Us Wonder How Time Flies)
