'Saiyaara' OTT Release: When And Where To Watch The Ahaan Panday And Aneet Padda Starrer Film

It has been decades since a romantic Bollywood film ignited a frenzy among fans and became a blockbuster. However, it seems that Yash Raj Films' Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, has broken this years-long drought of romantic movies. Starring two debutants, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has received huge praise. Theatres across India have been erupting with whistles and hoots ever since the film hit the floors. However, when and where can you watch the film on your small screens? Here are all the details on Saiyaara OTT release.

Saiyaara will release on Netflix

As per a News18 report, the streaming partner of Saiyaara is Netflix, and hence, after the film stops being viewed in theatres, fans can anticipate the movie to release on Netflix. However, the OTT release date for Saiyaara has not been confirmed yet. The same report suggests that the filmmakers are trying to push the OTT release to Diwali and are currently negotiating with Netflix. Saiyaara was supposed to be released on the OTT space in a few months, but given the popularity, it might run in the cinemas for longer. Hence, the final date of OTT release depends on the box office numbers.

Initially, Saiyaara was scheduled to release around the second week of September on an OTT space, said a TOI report. However, since there are no other highly anticipated Hindi film releases in the pipeline, the makers want to maximise their profits. Saiyaara has been in the theatres for less than two weeks and has amassed a box office collection of Rs. 217 crores. The film was made on a budget of Rs. 45 crores. So, the makers are anticipating even more earnings from the theatres and are trying to push the OTT release date further.

More about Saiyaara

Starring two debutants, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara minted huge earnings in double digits on its first day itself, a rare feat for films featuring newcomers. And now, the film's trajectory continues to move upward with no signs of slowing down. Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara is a musical. Ahaan Panday portrays the role of a tortured and 'bad boy' musician, 'Krish Kapoor'. Aneet Padda essays the role of 'Vaani', an introverted and shy writer. The film showcases their love story filled with many ups and downs and a huge twist.

Ahaan Panday's career before his film debut with YRF

Ahaan Panday was already famous on social media platforms and was well-known due to his connection to Chunky Panday as his nephew. The debutant's video with Ananya Panday, where the cousins were dancing to Saat Samundar Paar at his sister, Alanna's wedding, had gone viral and made him many people's celebrity crush overnight. Before that, Ahaan Panday had made and acted in a few short films with his friends. He had also modelled for a few magazines and walked the ramp in fashion shows.
