Ahaan Panday, and Aneet Padda, the two fresh-faced actors, have made their Bollywood debut with Saiyaara, released on July 18, 2025. The film was directed under the vision of Mohit Suri and has already claimed its position as this year's romantic blockbuster in the making. Pre-ticket sales for the film were overwhelming, and the newly debuted duo is earning praise for their emotionally evoking performances. Many fans have wondered how much the two rising stars are earning from their first movie, and here are the figures.
Although Yash Raj Films has kept the actor's fees under wraps, it is being reported that insiders have revealed that debut stars typically earn Rs. 3-5 crore in a big banner launch. The same principle is also being applied to Ahaan and Aneet's debut. However, Ahaan, coming from a family with industry advantages, is most likely to earn a bit more, but Aneet is close behind.
No official source has disclosed Mohit Suri’s directorial fee. Still, media reports indicate that he is earning somewhere between Rs. 6-8 crore, which is reportedly in line with industry standards for a project of this scale. He has previously directed Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain and is one of the best romantic film directors in Indian cinema, hence this hefty paycheck for him lines with the experience he brings.
The film is backed by one of the country's largest production houses, Yash Raj Films and they have left no stone unturned for this film. Reportedly, Saiyaara is made on a budget of Rs. 35-40 crores. The post-production print and advertising all together round off the total expenditure to nearly Rs. 60 crore, as reported by DNA.
Even before Saiyaara reached the theatre and received critical as well as financial success. The movie has started to earn revenue through digital rights, music, satellite rights, and other sources. These technical elements of a movie distribution have reportedly earned Saiyaara a whopping Rs. 45 crores already.

The movie business, like any other venture, depends heavily on financial success. Even with all the love that Saiyaara and its actors are getting online, if the theatre turnout numbers are not good, it won’t be considered as a hit. For Saiyaara, which is made up on a budget of Rs. 60 crore and has already earned back Rs. 45 crore, it still needs to make Rs. 90 crore across all its theatrical earnings to be considere a hit. If it crosses the Rs. 120-130 crore mark, that would push it into the blockbuster category.
With massive pre-bookings, Saiyaara had sold over one lakh tickets and earned Rs. 4.41 crore even before its first day on screen, it was bound to have a good opening session. It is being reported that the film has generated around Rs. 20-21 crores on its first day at the theatres. This has placed Saiyaara among the top openers of 2025.
If there is one thing that modern Bollywood was missing, it was the soulful, heartwrenching romantic movies filled with melo drama and good songs. Saiyaara has ticked all these boxes. The soundtrack, the premise, the fresh new faces, all of it has struck a chord with Gen-Z viewers and evoked nostalgia with movies similar to Aashiqui 2. Saiyaara and its growing success will once again prove that the Indian audience will never let a romance down.
