The year 2018 was a great one for people, media and the newcomers in the B-town. Mid-year, we saw Sridevi’s beautiful daughter, Janhvi Kapoor rule the screen with her stupendous performance in Dhadak. With mixed reviews and tremendous appreciation for the debutante, Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath will surely pave a permanent path for the actress in the industry. While parts of media and stars have watched the film yesterday and today (November 06-07, 2018), there is someone who is hesitant upon watching Sara on the ‘big screen’ for the first time. And any guesses as to who it is? It is none other than Sara’s father, Saif Ali Khan!

Yes, as per a Bollywood Hungama report, Saif is finding it difficult to watch his daughter on the big screen for the first time, inspite of his now wife, Kareena coaxing him to do so. Sara’s mother, Amrita Singh has watched bits and pieces of the film but her daddy still hasn’t seen anything of the film. Director of Kedarnath, Abhishek Kapoor has sent parts of the film to him but still, Saif hasn’t taken a look until now. Any reason as to why is it so? As per the online portal, “He is just petrified to watch Sara on screen. Kareena keeps urging him to watch Kedarnath. But, Saif keeps putting it off." When Saif was asked about the same in an interview, he had answered, “No I haven’t seen Kedarnath yet. But, I will very soon.” Isn’t Saif every jittery father ever?
In yet another interview, Saif spoke about his nervousness upon Sara entering the film domain. He had shared, “(I am) A little nervous. Fear is the most driving factor in the industry. I am not looking down on acting, it's just it is not the most stable profession. And everyone lives in constant fear. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life, any parent would want for their children." In yet another interview, Saif stated, “She has a lot of well wishers around her, from her mother (Amrita Singh) to me, Karan Johar to everybody. She can seek advice from anybody. I am very happy that she is doing something she is passionate about and its a beautiful job."
Speaking about his and Sara’s relationship, the Agent Vinod star was quoted as saying in an interview, “I was quite young when I had Sara, we have a drink together from time to time. We are more like friends, so there's very little I can lecture her on in that sense. It's a bit odd, someone might even cast us in movie." Quite like Sara and Ranveer’s Singh rather interesting odd-pair, Saif has also done films with actresses half his age. Speaking about the same, Saif shared, “Ranveer Singh is doing film with Sara, it's an age gap. You know your children when they grow older it does make you suddenly feel like wow time has gone by. I used to be the youngest guy in movies I remember that. But I'm okay." Saif has also given his beautiful daughter a great piece of advice. Speaking about the same, he had stated “I have given her so many pieces of advice. I told her to be honest and to find what is special inside her and not to be like other people.”
A statement shared by Saif Ali Khan about his daughter, Sara, apparently did not go down well with his first wife, Amrita Singh. Saif was once quoted as saying, “She always wanted to be an actor and I think she will be great. We worry about children as this profession has so much drama to it. So I had thought she will do some normal job because she is a brilliant student, but I guess nobody wants that (normal job).” He had also shared, “Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn't she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this?”
This apparently did not go down well with Amrita and in an interview with DNA, a source close to the family was quoted as saying, “She (Amrita) told him (over the phone) it was an irresponsible thing to say considering Sara is about to embark on a film career.” (Must Read: Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas Are All Set To Host Their Mumbai Wedding Reception! Saif, however, got back on this and justified his statement by saying, "It's annoying when you give a nice interview and people pick up one line and talk about it; it's irritating. I support my daughter and I love her. I think her choice is great. Of course, she is an actress and she comes from a family of artistes. I am still a little concerned for her as it's an unsure profession. I love her so I worry for her."
