Saif Ali Khan was robbed and attacked at his Bandra residence, Satguru Sharan, on January 16, 2025. The Bollywood actor was attacked with a knife during the robbery and suffered major injuries. The actor is currently admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. A 2.5-inch piece of knife was removed from the actor's spine, but as of now, Saif Ali Khan is quite stable. The Mumbai Police is investigating the matter at a fast pace as it has damaged the city's reputation.

Before Saif Ali Khan, iconic actress, Poonam Dhillon was the first Bollywood celebrity this year to face theft at her Mumbai house. According to the reports, Poonam hired a construction worker to paint her Khar residence, and that worker brought some painters for the project. One of the painters stole Rs. 35,000 cash, some dollars which were around Rs. 42,000, and a diamond earring worth lakhs.
Bollywood's elite couple, Ajay Devgn and Kajol faced robbery when they were celebrating Karwa Chauth in October 2022. After celebrating the auspicious festival, when Kajol returned home, she discovered that her jewellery box and wardrobe were half open. Upon checking her things, she realised 17 golden bangles worth Rs. 5 lakhs were not there. The incident occurred at their Juhu home, and the couple immediately filed a police complaint. Upon investigating the incident, police arrested Kajol and Ajay's house help, Gayatri Devendra and Santosh Pandey, after they confessed their crime.

Popular actress, Sonal Chauhan, who is still remembered for her work in the iconic film, Jannat, has also been a victim of theft. According to reports, it was back in 2015 when Sonal Chauhan's Noida home was robbed. The thieves reportedly stole Rs. 3.5 lakh cash, expensive jewellery, and most importantly, her Miss World Tourism 2005 crown. After the unfortunate incident, Sonal's brother revealed that the total loss was around Rs. 40 lakhs. However, the stolen items were reportedly recovered after police arrested three thieves.
The iconic actress, Shubha Khote has also been a victim of theft in the past. It was in 2019 when Subha discovered that her private safe was open, and Rs. 1.5 lakh in cash was missing. When she confronted her house help, he clearly stated that he wasn't aware of the mishappening. As a result, Subha called the police, and after their interrogation, the same house help admitted that he was the one who stole the cash. The police recovered the stolen money, which was safely transferred to the actress.
Popular television actress, Rupali Ganguly also faced theft in April 2015, after her domestic delp allegedly stole jewellery, cash, and some expensive items worth Rs. 71 lakhs in total. The theft occurred at her Versova residence, and after she registered a police complaint, the house help was arrested, and Rs. 6 lakhs were recovered.
In the same year, when Rupali Ganguly faced theft at her Versova home, another popular telvision and film actor, Ram Kapoor, also faced theft at his parents' house in upscale Grand Paradi society. The incident happened when Ram Kapoor's parents were not present at home. The thieves reportedly stole jewellery and cash worth Rs. 11.60 lakh.
In 2023, Neha Pendse and her husband, Shardul Singh, faced a robbery from their own servant. As per the reports, Neha and Shardul's house-help fled with Shardul's bracelet and diamond ring, totalling around Rs. 6 lakh.
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and her husband, Anand Ahuja, suffered a major setback when some thieves robbed their Delhi residence. The robbery was done by a nurse who was hired to look after Anand's grandmother, Sarla Ahuja. Unfortunately, the nurse and her accountant-husband conspired in the entire robbery. The robbers stole cash and jewellery worth Rs. 2.41 crore and spent most of it on their family expenses.
Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty Kundra's Juhu residence was robbed back in 2023. According to multiple reports, the Mumbai police arrested two thieves. The details of the things thieves stole from Shilpa's house weren't revealed then. The incident happened when Shilpa was vacationing abroad, reportedly with her family. However, after some time, some reports stated that robbers stole an iPad and music system from her Juhu residence.
Despite having so many guards all over the property, Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan also faced theft at his Juhu residence, Jalsa. For the uninitiated, it was in 2013 when a thief named Dilip Kevat entered Jalsa by passing the strong nets, which were placed to stop robbers from entering the property. However, when he was searching through the valuables, someone from Big B's family spotted him and raised the alarm. The guards caught the robber, and belongings worth Rs. 8,000 were recovered from the robber.
In 2010, a group of thieves looted Hema Malini's bungalow and took away valuables worth Rs. 84 lakhs. The thieves fled with Rs. 80 lakh cash, several gold ornaments, a super-expensive gold waistband, some diamond jewellery, gold chains, and bangles, totalling Rs. 85 lakhs. After the actress filed a police complaint, Mumbai Police arrested five people in connection with the robbery.
