Vinod Kambli is the most loved cricketer of all time in India. However, he sparked a shock in people when a video of him struggling to walk surfaced on the internet. People expressed their disbelief seeing the once-famous cricketer's health condition. Later, Vinod Kambli revealed that it was an old video and that he was in good health. Now, we spotted Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli's awkward first meeting after so many years.
On December 3, 2024, Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli attended an event with several other dignitaries. A video from the event has made it online, wherein we can see Sachin greeting Vinod Kambli, who was busy interacting with someone else. At first, Vinod found it hard to recognise him, but soon, he realised and held Sachin's hand firmly.
Vinod urged Sachin to sit beside him, but the latter wanted to leave. Soon, another acquaintance came to Sachin's rescue and politely tried to calm Vinod Kambli down and told him not to force him as he had to complete the work formalities. The video seemed a bit off, as Vinod Kambli looked upset after the legendary cricketer left.
Let us also mention that Sachin didn't avoid sitting with Vinod Kambli. But rather, he had professional commitment as they were attending the unveiling of Ramakant Achrekar Sir's memorial in Mumbai. Sachin seemed to be in a rush as he had to sit with MNS chief, Raj Thackeray.

A few months ago, Vinod Kambli's video made rounds on the internet, showing him unable to walk. In the video, a visibly weak former cricketer was assisted by two men who helped him sit on a chair. The video left the cricketer's fans in disbelief. They started expressing thei same on social media and urged BCCI and Sachin Tendulkar to help Vinod Kambli.
After the video had left the internet berserk, Vinod Kambli's close friend and former first-class umpire, Marcus, connected with him, and the cricketer asked him not to believe social media. Marcus added that Kambli was in a good mood, and while he is going through physical ailments due to age, he is fit and fine. He said:
"Kambli was in a jolly mood when we met him. He is recovering well and is in much better condition. The video being circulated is outdated. He doesn’t have belly fat and eat his food well. The entire family was present and enjoying each other’s company. His son, Cristiano, also a left-hand batter like his father, was taking batting tips from his father."
