Desi weddings are fun! From sisters-in-law having the legal right to steal the groom’s shoe and getting paid for it, to aunties dancing like crazy in baarat, Asian weddings are much more than just delicious foods. One more highlight of D-day is the bride and groom’s gorgeous wedding ensemble.
Every girl dreams of the big day since her childhood, and to make it a hit, she curates some unique ensembles from the best designers available. Be it a saree, a lehenga or a western outfit, today’s brides, try it all in their wedding festivities. And our Pakistani bride of the week had done something similar. She had picked ace designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee's designed lehengas for her mehendi and wedding party, nani ka joda for nikaah, and her pre-wedding and reception outfits were from two more designer labels.

Meet the bride of the week, Sawab Husnain, who had got married in Lahore, Pakistan. For the wedding party, the bride had picked a sindoori red lehenga from the ace designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee's bridal couture. Her outfit was topped off with delicate hand-cut organza flowers, french knots in silk floss and layers of thread work. It had also featured a V-neck shaped choli, a ballgown-esque skirt and double dupattas. One sheer dupatta was beautifully pleated like a shawl on one of her shoulders, while the other one was neatly put over her crown.

The bride had accessorised her look with a pearl beaded statement neckpiece, a choker, matching earrings, a minimal maang teeka and stone studded bangles. However, it was her make-up that had added more glamour to her look. Her make-up artist, Madu, had given her cheeks a rosy tint with smudged smokey eyes, a nudish pink lip colour, mascara laden lashes and perfectly filled eyebrows to finish off her bridal look.

The bride had ditched designer outfits and had donned her nani ka joda on her nikaah. She had looked ethereal in her granny's baby pink-hued sharara set, paired with a greenish sheer dupatta. An exquisite passa, traditional maang teeka, neckpiece and matching earrings had given her a beautiful look. On the other hand, the groom had looked dapper in an ivory kurta pyjama set paired with a Nehru coat.
Sabyasachi Mukherjee's couture is an emotion for women, and she could never walk past his beautiful designer ensembles. Something similar had happened to the then-to-be bride, Sawab Husnain, as she had ended up choosing one more lehenga from the renowned designer, Sabyasachi’s shelves, for her mehendi. The yellow-hued lehenga was designed with red floral motifs and green leaves prints.
Her choli had a scoop neckline and tassels at the back. While the skirt was accentuated with red and green hems, the green sequined dupatta had looked equally enchanting. She had completed her look with flower jewellery, a bun adorned with carnations and subtle make-up.

For her pre-wedding rituals, the bride had picked a traditional saree. The bacon pink-hued outfit had featured multi-coloured embroidery work in giraffe patterns. Her sheer saree was adorned with floral border work and a hector neck backless blouse, which also had tassels at the back. She had styled her look with big dangling gold earrings and a statement bangle. She had accentuated her pre-bridal look with cut crease eyeshadow, highlighted make-up and dark lips. Her tresses were neatly tied into a braided bun.
For her reception party, the bride had picked an ivory-hued Indo western outfit. Her outfit was embellished with intricate gold embroidery work. It had featured a long floor-sweeping sheer pallu, and a strapless blouse. She had accessorised her look with a silverish choker, stud earrings, and diamond bangles. Her perfectly lined eyes and pink lips had done the talking. However, it was her sleek bun that had accentuated her look.
We love the bride's gorgeous look, but her sindoori red Sabyasachi lehenga stole our heart! What about you? Let us know!
