Moreover, the decision to tie the knot amidst the pandemic comes with its own set of pros and cons. On one hand, there are limited guests and people can hardly enjoy themselves due to the deadly virus. On the other hand, there is the tension that every girl goes through, that how life after marriage would be like. Despite all these hurdles, our bride, Athiya Bhalla decided to walk down the aisle and achieved her happily ever after.
Meet our bride, Athiya Bhalla, an architect by profession, who chose the fashion designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee to rock the look on her D-day. We all know that being an architect calls for a lot of work and is much beyond just designing offices, houses or shopping malls. The blouse and skirt of her red lehenga had intricate embroidery with golden zari work and the dupatta reminded us of Deepika Padukone's dupatta that she had carried at her Sindhi wedding. Apart from her lehenga, what really caught our attention was the heavy kundan jewellery bought from the house of Sabyasachi Mukherjee itself. Her heavy necklace, earrings, a maang teeka and a nath were studded with kundan stones and to contrast it with her red lehenga, she had chosen green onyx beads to highlight her jewellery.
Every bride wants her prince charming to look the best on their wedding day and Athiya's soulmate, Akshay Malik kept up to her expectations as he looked dapper in the beige-coloured sherwani, that was paired with a safa of the same colour. Twinning with his ladylove, Akshay also donned a green beaded necklace and looked absolutely handsome in the dulha look. For his wedding outfit, Akshay had chosen fashion designers, Shantanu and Nikhil and they could absolutely do justice to his look.
