Ruplai Ganguly Cheers For 'Anuj' AKA Gaurav Khanna Ahead Of 'Bigg Boss 19' Finale, 'Kapadiya Ji..'

Bigg Boss 19 grand finale is only five days away, and we have our first finalist, Gaurav Khanna. Will the actor continue his winning streak after Celebrity MasterChef and take home the Bigg Boss trophy as well? Only time will tell. However, when Rupali Ganguly was asked about her former co-star's journey in the Bigg Boss house, she affirmed that she was definitely team 'Anuj'.

Rupali Ganguly shares her support for Gaurav Khanna ahead of Bigg Boss 19 finale

Rumours of a rift between Anupamaa stars, Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna have been circulating ever since Gaurav exited the show. Fans loved 'Anupamaa' and 'Anuj Kapadiya's' pairing and were left heartbroken when the latter was written out of the show. However, it seems like Rupali has now put all speculation to rest by openly cheering for him ahead of the Bigg Boss 19 grand finale. Ever since Gaurav Khanna entered the finale week, fans have been rooting for him to lift the Bigg Boss 19 trophy. 

Gaurav Khanna's Anupamaa co-star, Rupali Ganguly, has now revealed that she also shares his sentiments and hopes for the same. The actor came out to support and cheer for Gaurav during an event in Mumbai. At the event, Rupali opened up about Gaurav's journey on Bigg Boss 19. She also shared that she is fond of Amaal Mallik and took a moment to praise Farrhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal. She was quoted as saying:

"I am very fond of Amaal. I love the content that Farrhana, Tanya and everyone has given. And Gaurav deserves to win. Jeetenge toh aap hi Kapadia ji."

Gaurav Khanna previously said he won't call Rupali Ganguly a 'friend'

For those unaware, Gaurav portrayed 'Anuj Kapadia' for a significant stint in Rajan Shahi's Anupamaa. He was paired opposite Rupali Ganguly, who plays the show's titular character. During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Gaurav Khanna candidly spoke about his bond with Rupali Ganguly. He admitted to having an altercation on the set and revealed whether he quit the show because of the actress.

Gaurav, when asked about the reason behind his exit, said that a sane person would never leave a show that has made him a household name because of another person. He revealed that while Rupali was amazing, he won't call her at any time and discuss things with her. Gaurav Khanna was quoted as saying:

"Main Rupali ko friend nahi bolunga. Rupali is a wonderful human being from whom I've learnt a lot. Friend kya hota hai ki main kabhi bhi phone kardu ki ye hai, woh hai..., I'm not on those terms with anyone, be it Rupali or even Sudhanshu. Even Sudhanshu Ji bolna chahiye. He's very spiritual, like me. He's a fantastic singer. I'm very happy he's coming out with new songs. I used to say, 'Don't quit singing, please.'"

About Bigg Boss 19

This weekend, Ashnoor Kaur and Shehbaz Badesha were eliminated from Bigg Boss 19. This was the last Weekend Ka Vaar of Bigg Boss 19 as the show is all set to have its grand finale on December 7, 2025. The top six contestants of Bigg Boss 19 now are Gaurav Khanna, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Malti Chahar, Farrhana Bhatt, and Pranit More.
