Rupali Ganguly's Stepdaughter Esha Slams Her After Court Hearing Fall On Her B'Day, 'Evil Step Lady'

Rupali Ganguly is one of the most renowned actresses on Indian Television. She rose to fame by playing the role of 'Monisha Sarabhai' and has won hearts by portraying the titular role of 'Anupama' in her TV show. However, behind the glitz and glamour, the actress's personal life made headlines a couple of months ago when her stepdaughter, Esha Verma, publicly called her out for being the third person in her parent' life and ruining her family. Amid all the allegations, Rupali filed a defamation case against Esha, and recently, Esha called the actress out for keeping hearing on her birthday. 

Esha Verma calls out Rupali Ganguly for scheduling a court hearing on her birthday

Since Rupali Ganguly filed a legal complaint against Esha Verma for defamation, the latter has remained silent and waited for the court hearing. But she recently took to her Instagram handle and expressed her anger over the court's hearing coinciding with her birthday. Although Esha didn't tag Rupali's official Instagram handle with the post, she allegedly mentioned words like 'evil step lady' to address her. Esha penned: 

"TY to the evil step lady for scheduling the next court date on my bday muah :*

Apart from subtly calling out the Anupama actress for spoiling her special day, Esha also made a startling revelation in her post. She made another allegation on Rupali as she expressed her gratitude to the actress for stalking her and violating the policies of social media platforms without elaborating much about it. However, Esha emphasised that these activities have occurred for the last four months since the issue began. In her words: 

"So generous, oh & hi, thanks for monitoring me & violating social media policies for the last 4 months."

Rupali Ganguly's lawyer reveals they got interim relief for the actress 

Rupali Ganguly's lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, in an interview with Pinkvilla, revealed that the actress's legal team has secured an interim relief from the court for her. For those uninitiated, under interim relief, every false or damaging content against Rupali will be restrained on different social media platforms. At the same time, when asked if the actress will explore any possibility to make any out-of-court settlement with Esha Verma, the lawyer said:

"No, no. Right now, no such thing is there."

Rupali Ganguly and Esha Verma fiasco 

Esha Verma is the biological daughter of Ashwin K. Verma and Sapna K. Verma, who lives in New Jersey, USA. The fiasco began when an old post she shared went viral on X. In the post, Esha claimed that Rupali was the third person between her parents who stole her mother's jewellery and physically abused her. She also attached some videos mentioning that she felt unsafe around her father and Rupali. Later, on November 11, 2024, the Anupamaa actress took legal action against her stepdaughter by filing a defamation lawsuit for Rs 50 crore over the allegations made by Esha.
