Rukhsar Rehman's personal and professional life has been marked by many ups and downs. After getting married at a young age and giving birth to her daughter, Aisha Ahmed, the veteran actress restarted her Bollywood career. Rukhsar also found love with filmmaker, Faruk Kabir. But after thirteen years of marriage, the couple headed for a divorce. The actress recently revealed that she was too hurt by the heartbreak, but her daughter, Aisha, was by her side throughout this tough time.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rukhsar said that she won't use the word proud, instead, she is very glad and thankful to have a daughter like Aisha Ahmed. The actress said that everyone feels their kid is the best, but her daughter is truly amazing. During her painful divorce, it was Aisha who helped her mother, Rukhsar, get out of the heartbreak. The PK actress stated that her daughter's friend also helped out a lot. In the interview, Rukhsar was quoted as saying:
“I won’t use the word proud, but I will say that maybe I’m very, like, glad and thankful ke I have got Ayesha as a daughter. She is an amazing girl. Matlab, beti toh woh itni acchi hai ke, I mean, sabko apna baccha accha lagta hai dil se. But she is amazing. She is Masha Allah, an amazing girl, and I don’t know if she hadn’t been around me, what would have happened.
Rukhsar Rehman had been married off when she was only 18 and had her daughter, Aisha Ahmad, a year later. But the marriage fell apart, and she left her first husband and took her baby girl as well. Years later, after making a comeback to the film industry, Rukhsar married filmmaker, Faruk Kabir, but this marriage also ended in divorce. Talking about her divorce, Rukhsar said that every change teaches something, and people get both good and bad experiences. But it is important to say God's name in the end and just move on. The actress shared:
"Phir uske saath, changes ke saath experiences, acche-bure experiences, aate hain, na? Chalte rehte hain, aate rehte hain, chalte rehte hain. Aap kahin par thode samajhdar ho jaate ho, kahin par aapko lagta hai ke, theek hai, yeh chapter apni zindagi se abhi. It’s gone, done and dusted. And now you should take God’s name and move forward.”
Rukhsar Rehman had made her Bollywood debut as the female lead in 1992. But, when she went to restart her career again, she was back at square one. The actress auditioned for many small roles and faced rejection as well. But she finally found work in Ram Gopal Verma's film, D in 2005. Then the actress went on to be a part of another film by Verma, which was Sarkar. She has also been part of movies like Salman Khan's God Tussi Great Ho and Aamir Khan's PK.
