After falling into the scam, Rubina picked up her life and worked hard. She was never brand-conscious and believed that one would get good wages in the industry with sheer effort. "If my worth is decided on what bag I carry and what car I drive then I think it is the wrong industry for me. I have gone through the darkest phase in my life. I have gone through extreme lows. I have been out of work for around two years. I have gone through depression, anxiety, all sufferings a teenager can go through making wrong choices. When I look back, those failures became a learning lesson for me."
