Rohan Bopanna has drawn the curtains on his career as the Indian tennis player announced on November 1, 2025, that he is retiring from professional sport. He has now closed the chapter on his remarkable career, which spanned more than two decades. Rohan has been one of the finest tennis players to come out of India, and much of the credit for his legacy goes to his wife, Supriya Annaiah Bopanna.
Behind the high-pressure moments Rohan faced during the 2017 French Open and while winning various Davis Cups at the Olympic Games, his wife, Supriya, showed a lot of support. While Rohan on the field made record-breaking wins, which was only possible because of the foundation in his real life, Supriya. The couple has had an interesting love story, one that goes beyond what Rohan's life is shown to be on the tennis court.

Rohan has shared in many of his press interviews that he met his wife, Supriya, by chance at a restaurant. When he first saw her, Rohan was struck by her grace, charm, and beauty, and asked his cousin, their mutual friend, to introduce him to her. The couple dated briefly; soon after falling in love in 2012, they married. Rohan and Supriya are blessed with a daughter whom they named, Tridha Bopanna.

Rohan, in his heartfelt retirement post on Instagram, started off by saying he did not know how to bid farewell to the sport that gave meaning to his life. He did share that, after 20 unforgettable years, he is now officially hanging up his racquet. His heart has been heavy and grateful, but he credited his wife, Supriya and called her his greatest partner off the court. Rohan credited Supriya for living his tennis journey with her and wrote:
"You've lived this journey with me, the long flights, sleepless nights, and moments I've missed. You have carried our world with such grace while I chased mine. Your love, patience and strength are the quiet reasons behind every success I've ever had."
