May the film set the screens on fire. #Devil #PrakashVeer @AJANEESHB." This did not gel well with the netizens, and a heated discussion related to celebrity endorsements and accountability got into the limelight.

Rishab had tweeted for The Devil movie in goodwill, but netizens flamed the post for praising Darshan. A user wrote, "Don't you have shame to support a murde***. Shame on you for promoting his film. He ki**ed his fan brutally, you don't have a heart, worst fellows." Another user schooled Rishab and said, "Sir, life is more about holding up your morals! Post this doesn’t feel good! You don’t need to play to the gallery!" A netizen also commented, "Wishes For a murde*** and criminal? Where is your ethics @shetty_rishab?"

Rishab was questioned for publicly endorsing Darshan, who was accused of committing a serious crime.
