Popular social media influencer, Apoorva Mukhija has been supporting her close friend, Rida Tharana, who has been getting backlashes on social media. This all began when Apoorva shared a justification clip related to her vulgar comment on Samay Raina's India's Got Latent show. She mentioned that someone had performed black magic on her. Apoorva did not take anyone's name, but netizens thought it was her good friend, Rida. Ever since then, she has been receiving constant hate on social media. Rida's bestie, Apoorva, had taken to her Instagram stories to speak about not spreading negativity related to Rida. She shared that after she posted her clip, there were a lot of assumptions and a lot of hate going around, and as much as she appreciates being supported, she does not want negativity to be spread. Apoorva, whose true friend is Rida, has been putting up a brave front amid the criticism. A look into her Instagram bio reads:

A look into Rida's Instagram stories reveals that she stood for an hour at a place called An's Dry Cleaning for ice cream, and she did not find it worth waiting. She then shared that one of her favourite things to do while solo travelling was to make friends across the globe and then convert them into Bollywood fans. Rida is at the moment in America as her Instagram stories reveals she had a ball of a time in LA and San Diego. Rida mentioned in her post that she travelled for work and wrote an empowering post on how things have been tough for her. Her note reads:

"People who have known me for a while know how much I love documenting my travels especially when I am solo. It's my way of saying I can't believe I am actually here. The last few days have been a little tough but I am slowly getting back. I know I said I wouldn't let things affect me but posting and taking you through my journey still brings me joy."

Rida, who is being slammed on social media, shared about the challenges she has been through. She shared that she is looking after her mom who has been unwell and has been looking after the finances since 2024. Not working would mean everything would go on hold. Her mom hates Mumbai and she has tried everything to make her feel comfortable. One of those things was hosting people at home. Rida shared her mom enjoyed it when her friends came home for Iftar. She addressed the controversy regarding her name being embroiled in the Apoorva matter and said:

“This is Apoorva’s moment, and I won’t overshadow it. I’m seeing my actions distorted, misread, and exaggerated. And I’ve said this before: society has a tendency to dislike women—women who thrive, smile, live, or simply exist.”
