One of the most adored couples in the Hindi film industry, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha never miss a chance to paint the town red with their mushy romance and cute PDAs. For the unversed, the duo had met each other for the first time on the sets of their first film, Fukrey, in 2012. Though initially, they had developed a beautiful friendship with each other, later, love gradually brewed between them. Since then, their fans have been impatiently waiting for a long time for the couple's wedding.
To address the same, on February 3, 2022, Ali Fazal had taken to his Twitter handle to share a post comparing themselves with the famous cons of the Hindi film industry, 'Bunty Aur Babli' (characters from the film, Bunty Aur Babli). In addition, the actor also requested the media to be patient with them, as he and Richa are planning and doing things according to their convenience. Ali's tweet could be read as:

In an interview with Mashable India, Richa Chadha opened up about her wedding plans with her long-time boyfriend, Ali Fazal. She mentioned that wedding has been on their cards since 2020. However, she revealed that whenever the madly-in-love couple had thought of getting married, it got postponed due to several problems like the pandemic, etc. Mentioning that many couples who had met after Richa and Ali are already married now thus they also want to do something this year. She said:
“Whenever we think of getting married a new (Covid-19) variant comes. In 2020, we had booked places also but the first wave came, followed by lockdown and destruction. Last year again, in February, we had the confidence and talks started. The second wave experience was the worst in India. Quite sad. Jo log humse baad mein mile the, unki toh shaadi bhi hogayi. Baad mein dekhte hai kiski kitni tikti hai. Aisa kya hai, finish line pe milenge. We want to do it this year, we will make time, kuch na kuch karlenge."
Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Ali had opened up about tying the knot with Richa. He talked about the pandemic, pending shoots and many other things that had delayed their wedding. He had said:
“We have been dying to do this (get married). It is pending. Earlier, there was the lockdown and this year the second wave… so the delay. Moreover, when things opened up, both of us had to wrap up pending shoots, so there was no time. As for March 2022... maybe but right now, I am clueless. We are trying to make it work.”

Sharing the picture, Ali mentioned in the caption about his jetlag, fasting and that he would do a live session in a while. Soon, his girlfriend, Richa teased him and asked him to get veggies from the market as she would be back in two days. She had hilariously written:
"I am back in 2 days. Plz buy mushrooms, coconut milk. Thanks."
On the work front, Richa and Ali will be next seen together in the film, Fukrey 3.
