Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are eagerly waiting to welcome their little one into this world. In February 2024, the latter took to his Instagram account and shared the good news with their fans and followers in a collaborative post with his wife. Richa is reportedly in her last trimester and will be giving birth sometime in July. As she is all set to become a mother, the 37-year-old revealed in an interview that she and her husband still have not gotten the time to sit and discuss baby names.
Both Richa and Ali have had their hands full at the moment with their respective projects. While Richa was busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Ali, on the other hand, has been busy with the shoot of his upcoming Mani Ratnam’s Tamil action-drama. During her conversation with News18 Showsha, Richa said that she is looking forward to having some time off with her husband so that they can reset. In her words:
“We haven’t discussed names yet! We haven’t had the time. I was so busy with Heeramandi and some production work before that. And Ali has been shooting non-stop. We’re looking forward to finding some time for ourselves soon, and that will be a good time to reset and look at the home environment.”

In the same interaction, Richa recalled the time when she got to know about her pregnancy. She revealed that after learning about her pregnancy, she immediately started planning and started thinking about pushing her filming schedules. Richa also shared that she started relocating things in her house. Talking about how her pregnancy properly hit her after a week, the actress added:
“I immediately went into planning mode. I started thinking about how we have to push this film we’re producing from March to October and if the season and the light will match the mood of the film. I also thought about relocating things around the house to make space. My thoughts were all very practical. My pregnancy hit me properly only after a week.”

The 37-year-old actress also mentioned that she is ‘pretty chill’ about her pregnancy and is not nervous at all. Richa further shared that she has been watching true crime content to relax. Moreover, she has not taken any sabbatical from work and continues to work every day. The actress also shared that she has been making conscious efforts to stay away from social media as it has the power to impact a person.
Earlier, when Richa and Ali had just announced that they were pregnant, the former spoke at length about her pregnancy with HT City and revealed that they were very excited about this new phase and had been going with the flow. Richa also shared that her mother went back to work 40 days after having her younger brother. Sharing that she doesn't want to stress much about her pregnancy, Richa said:
“I go with the flow. Whatever Ali and I do, we do with a lot of fluid movement, it’s all organic. We are both excited for this new phase. I am not very American about this. I have seen my mom have a second child, my younger brother, and go back to working in 40 days. I have seen all the women in my family just give birth and go back to living their lives as they would. I don’t want to stress about it too.”
