Rhea Chakraborty reveals dancing with inmates on her last day in Byculla jail

Further in the conversation, Rhea shared that she had promised her inmates that she would dance her heart out on the day she gets bail. However, she wasn’t happy on her last day in jail, so she refused them at first. But suddenly, it occurred to her that she might not see those women again in her life, so she should give them five minutes of happiness with a dance performance with them. In her words:

“So I refused them at first and when the jailer came and told me ‘mat karo tum, chhod do’ and I was like ‘haan haan’. But then I thought that I am leaving and I am probably never gonna see these women again and if I could give them five minutes of happiness with the dance performance with them, then why the hell not?”

After a lot of thinking, Rhea finally gave in and decided to dance with the inmates on the last day. Calling it the most ecstatic moment of her life, she revealed that they all did naagin dance on the floor. Rhea said:

“The excitement and joy and happiness that I saw in these women's eyes while I was dancing for them with them is probably the highest point of my life to date.”

Rhea Chakraborty talks about the time she spent in prison

For the unversed, Rhea Chakraborty recently made her onscreen comeback with the show, MTV Roadies Season 19, as a part of one of the Gang Leaders. Further in the same interaction, the actress shared that the time she spent in prison was a humbling experience for her and added:

“Jail can’t be easy. It is interesting because you are removed from society and you are no longer a part of it. You are put in this place because you are no longer fit to be in society for whatever reason you are deemed to be unfit. You are no longer a person, you start viewing yourself as nothing. You are a number, you do as told. You are given a few moments of happiness in your life, snatch them. And that’s what I learnt from jail. I’m her to snatch it.”
