Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's elder daughter, Janhvi Kapoor shares a special bond with legendary actress, Rekha, which goes beyond public appearances. Rekha, who was friends with Sridevi, has been close to the latter's family for years. Rekha and Sridevi were BFFs back then, with Rekha even recommending the latter's name for many iconic films, including Himmatwala and Chandni. Ever since Sridevi's demise, Rekha's connection naturally extended to Janhvi and Khushi, as she often played a guiding role in their lives.

In a video doing rounds on the internet, Janhvi was seen greeting Rekha, who graced the event to extend her support. Rekha affectionately hugged Janhvi as soon as she reached the venue. The duo also posed together on the red carpet and shared a heartwarming moment that caught everyone’s attention. Janhvi opted for a white-hued strapless mini dress adorned with intricate lace patterns. She paired the body-hugging outfit with classic white heels and minimal jewellery. She flashed her radiant smile as she stood next to Rekha and held the iconic actress close to her.

True to her timeless style, Rekha looked stunning in a traditional peach-hued saree featuring golden floral motifs. She complemented it with statement jewellery, including huge earrings and a layered necklace. A matching potli, bold red lipstick and a gajra-adorned bun completed the look. While posing on the red carpet, Rekha planted a kiss on Janhvi's forehead, leaving everyone in awe.

On November 3, 2022, Janhvi Kapoor hosted the screening of her film, Mili, and many stars graced the event. In one of the videos, Janhvi was seen meeting the ever-so-gorgeous actress, Rekha at the event. While she donned a beige-hued sharara set, Rekha looked stunning in a white and grey saree paired with statement earrings. As Janhvi approached the veteran actress, the latter was simply in awe of her and gave her a tight hug. Moreover, Janhvi also thanked Rekha for being a part of the event and admired her saree look.

The photo was from Janhvi's childhood, wherein her loving mother was seen hugging her as they posed for the lens. In the picture, Sridevi looked flawless in a red silk saree, and Janhvi looked cute as a cotton ball in a sky-blue-coloured frock. Sharing the picture, the doting daughter wrote:

"Happy birthday Mumma. I miss you more and more everyday. I love u forever (infinity symbol)."
