Rekha Reveals If She Feels Obliged To Maintain Her Image, Says, 'Even If It's A Mad Woman...'

Rekha reveals what she would do if she weren't an actress

During the conversation with Dr Shan Chandrasekar, the actress was asked what she would've done if she was not able to become a film star. Rekha, who is acknowledged as one of the finest actresses in Indian cinema, is the epitome of grace and commitment. She responded to the interviewer, she revealed that she couldn't think of anything else. Rekha cited what she had told her mother and stated:

"I can't think of anything right now, honestly. I said to my mother that if I had to be born again, I would want to be a film actress."

Rekha shares about her priorities

In the same conversation, Dr Shan Chandrasekar asked Rekha if she thinks that film stars felt obliged to fulfil some sort of social responsibility after reaching a certain amount of stardom. The actress responded by saying that she doesn't go for the image but rather focuses on her role in the film. For the unversed, over the years, Rekha has again and again reinvented herself for the characters she has portrayed. She stated:

"I don't go for the images or anything. I just go for my role. All I'm concerned about is doing justice to my role, even if it's a mad woman's role. Because I'm an artist first."

Rekha reveals she wants her contemporaries to feel at ease around her

Rekha is one of the most loved and respected actresses in the film fraternity, and while someone of her stature would be expected to intimidate others, the actress revealed that she wants them to feel at ease. During the conversation, Dr Shan asked the actress if people felt intimidated by her because of her strength and efficiency. The actress responded that she doesn't like to upset her costars or make them conscious. She added that she would never give them the impression that she is 'The Rekha' as for her it's important that they feel comfortable. 

Rekha's fans find her eyes extremely caring and expressive

One of the reasons why Rekha became such a big name in the film industry is her skill of expression. She doesn't just use words to convey emotions but captivates the audience with her gestures and expressions. Talking about the same, the actress revealed how her fans often tell her that her eyes are extremely communicative and caring. She stated:

"My fans tell me we can communicate through your pictures. Your eyes seem very kind and caring and it shows what kind of a person you are. I don't know if I am that kind of a person, but it makes me feel very nice to hear these things from my fans."
