When you are in love, the only thing you want to do is to be with your partner all day long. You want to hang out more, speak on the phone for hours and text each other when the first two options are not possible. Well, on the contrary, not many people in our society are open to the idea of live-in relationships and more often than not, might look down upon you. Not that it matters much, but it is true.
You may feel that by being together all the time, your love will evolve and so will your fondness for each other. In reality however, you are killing the element of surprise, freshness and spontaneity in your relationship. You might just end up getting sick and tired of each other.
You may think that your rent, bills and everything else will be split, while actually, you end up paying more for everything, because now you will be two people staying in one house. Starting a home together is much more difficult than you imagined it to be.

Ever heard of the phrase ‘familiarity breeds contempt’? Staying together means being with each other all the time, except when you are at your respective workplaces. And being with each other all the time exposes you to the other person’s irritating habits. So, instead of fighting less, you might just end up cribbing and arguing more than before.
That is not a valid enough reason for you to move in with your partner. Instead, start looking for a roommate rather than jumping into a live-in relationship.
Well if that is the case, then your next step should be to tie the knot and not move in together. How much more proof or time do you need? Isn’t being with and bearing with each other for so many years proof enough that you two are meant to be?
