It was somewhere around the mid-2000s when the comedy scene had picked up in India with individual artists becoming a part of our daily entertainment. Especially the stand-up comedy has grown leaps and bounds in our country, giving a chance to talented comedians, full of wit and humour, to showcase their talent and make a name for themselves.
For the '90s kids, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge was the show that introduced them to stand-up comedy and then it was followed by the shows of individuals and groups of comedians. Kapil Sharma, who rose to fame with The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, launched his own show, Comedy Nights with Kapil, under his own banner K9 Productions, after his phenomenal success as he became a household name in no time.

After Comedy Nights with Kapil ended, Kapil Sharma moved to Sony with his next venture, The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS), and proved that laughter is indeed the best medicine. It was on April 23, 2016, when TKSS was premiered and till, January 2021, Kapil and his extremely talented team had entertained the audience with their daily dose of laughter and this show became a source of sheer happiness and joy.
The Kapil Sharma Show was all about the host, Kapil Sharma's flirting with his female guests, celebrities including A-list stars, veterans and newcomers featuring for movie promotions, host Kapil mocking his colleagues including Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Chandan Prabhakar, Kapil's singing and, comedy, comic timings of the team and punchlines par excellence.
While we have seen these stars on television screens, making their audience laugh with their talent, little do we know about their personal lives and who they are married to. Here's a list of The Kapil Sharma Show team and their better-halves:

Let's begin with the creator, co-producer and host of The Kapil Sharma Show, Kapil Sharma, who has inspired us with his rags to riches journey. Known as the 'King of Comedy', Kapil had worked hard to achieve success and fame, failed to maintain it and finally, rose like a phoenix. And it was his life-partner, Ginni Chatrath, who stood by him throughout like his strongest pillar of strength. Together, Kapil and Ginni have seen a lot of ups and downs in their relationship but sailed through each one of them, making a beautiful life as husband and wife.
In a Punjabi wedding with Anand Karaj rituals followed by a Hindu marriage, Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath were pronounced husband and wife on December 12, 2018, in Jalandhar. As Kapil and Ginni were to complete one year of marital bliss in 2019, God had blessed them with the best gift of their lives. Kapil and Ginni had embraced parenthood two days before their first wedding anniversary and became proud parents to a baby girl, Anayra Sharma. Kapil and Ginni's family was completed with the arrival of their second child, Trishaan Sharma in February 2021.
The permanent guest on The Kapil Sharma Show, Archana Puran Singh has been in the entertainment industry since 1982. Over the years, Archana has contributed to the film and television industries with some prominent characters as feathers in her cap. A decade after her film debut, Archana had tied the knot with actor, Parmeet Sethi, on June 30, 1992, and in their beautiful journey, the couple was blessed with two sons, Aaryamann Sethi and Ayushmaan Sethi.
When Archana Puran Singh had met Parmeet Sethi for the first time at a party, she didn't want a man in her life because of a failed marriage. Before taking their relationship to the next level i.e., marriage, Archana and Parmeet were in live-in and while their families and society had questioned their relationship due to the age and career difference, they had proved everyone wrong with their strong bond. To marry Parmeet, Archana had eloped from her house and after some hesitation, the priest had finally agreed to perform the rituals of their elopement wedding.
Krushna Abhishek, or Sapna Sharma of The Kapil Sharma Show, won accolades for his character in the show and his mimicry. Before TKSS, Krushna successfully managed to move out of his mama, Govinda's shadow and make his own name in the industry as an actor and comedian. Krushna is a renowned name in the Bhojpuri and Hindi film industry. During the shoot of his film, Aur Pappu Paas Ho Gaya, in 2006, Krushna had met his soulmate, model-actress, Kashmera Shah. Krushna, who was just out of his relationship with college sweetheart, clicked with Kashmera, who got divorced from her Hollywood producer-ex-husband, Brad Listermann, albeit as good friends. Despite the 10-year age difference between them, Krushna and Kashmera came closer to each other and by 2007, they had started dating.
Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah have always been vocal about their love and after six years into their relationship, she had given him an ultimatum to either tie the knot or break up with her. After a minor hiccup in their relationship, Krushna and Kashmera had secretly tied the knot in June 2013, followed by another one in 2015, with the blessings of their families. In 2017, Krushna and Kashmera embraced parenthood with the arrival of their twin boys, Krishank and Raayan via surrogacy.

Bharti Singh, a.k.a., Title Yadav of The Kapil Sharma Show, is a prominent name in the world of comedy. Just like Kapil Sharma, Bharti is a renowned name in the stand-up comedy, who has been a part of several reality shows as an anchor and comedian, including The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Circus, Bigg Boss, Nach Baliye, India's Got Talent, Dance Deewane, India's Best Dancer, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 and the ones under her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa's production company, Khatra Khatra Khatra and Hum Tum Aur Quarantine.
Being a plus-sized woman, Bharti Singh never thought of falling in love because of her overweight. So, when Haarsh Limbachiyaa had knocked on the doors of her heart, Bharti had taken her time and gradually welcomed love with open arms. It was more than a decade ago when Bharti had met Haarsh on the sets of Comedy Circus, where she was a contestant and he was a scriptwriter. Haarsh used to, in fact, is still writing all the scripts of Bharti and it had given them a lot of time to spend together back then to fall in love. According to Haarsh, it had taken him a year to realise that Bharti is the one for him and finally, after dating for a few years, the couple had tied the knot in 2017.
Kangana Ranaut's mimic and Teacher Vidyavati on The Kapil Sharma Show, Sugandha Mishra also rose to prominence when she became one of the finalists on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Sugandha had participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar and over the years, she has been a part of several shows, giving her contribution in tickling the funny bones of the audience. Sugandha found love in Sanket Bhosale, who was Sanjay Dutt's mimic on The Kapil Sharma Show.
After a lot of rumours about their relationship in 2017 and the comedians maintaining their 'dosti ki hai nibhani toh padegi hi' stance, Sugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosale had announced their engagement in April 2021. Ten days after the announcement, Sugandha and Sanket became each other's forever in an intimate lockdown wedding. Since then, Sugandha and Sanket have been making the most of their married life and documenting the same, with a pinch of humour and wit, on their social media handles.
While Sugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosale found love in each other on The Kapil Sharma Show, the next on our list, Rochelle Rao, realised her ishq wala love for her life partner on the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss. Known as Lottery Akela (Nurse in 50-50 Hospital) of The Kapil Sharma Show, Rochelle came closer to her 'Prince Charming', Keith Sequeira in the Bigg Boss house and it was on March 3, 2018, when #KeRoGotHitched. Keith and Rochelle had started dating before they entered the Bigg Boss house and by the end of the show, the lovebirds had realised that they want a future together. After a proposal in 'the most natural way', Rochelle and Keith became one in a private ceremony in 2018.
For the unversed, when Rochelle Rao got an offer for The Kapil Sharma Show, it had ruined Keith Sequeira's plan to propose to her for marriage. Keith had planned a trip to the Andaman and Nicobar on the New Year, where he had thought of building a sandcastle and surprising her with the proposal ring in it. Unfortunately, the trip didn't happen but a few days later, Keith, in a natural moment, proposed to Rochelle and of course, she answered with a 'yes'!

We know him as Bumper Lottery, Santosh, Inspector Damodar Ishwarlal Gaitonde and Accha/Bachcha Yadav. You guessed it right. Next on the list is Sunny Deol's mimic on The Kapil Sharma Show, Kiku Sharda, who has impressed his audience with his comic timings and mimicry. Kiku has been in the entertainment industry since the early 2000s and he has done memorable roles in several films and shows.
Kiku Sharma is a married man, who is living his 'happily ever after' with his wife, Priyanka Sharda for almost two decades now. Priyanka has maintained her distance from the media and rarely makes public appearances but it was in 2014 when she had participated with Kiku on the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 6. Kiku and Priyanka are proud parents of two sons, Aryan Sharda and Shaurya Sharda. While everyone loves Kiku in his cross-dressed characters on TKSS, his wife, Priyanka had given him clear instructions to not come home like that.
Chandu or Raju Chaiwala and Abhishek Bachchan's mimic on The Kapil Sharma Show, Chandan Prabhakar, who is Kapil Sharma's childhood friend, is also from the list of comedians, who rose to fame from The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Chandan is a renowned name in the world of stand-up comedy and Punjabi films.
Chandan Prabhakar and scriptwriter, Nandini Khanna had tied the knot in April 2015 and their world revolves around their little bundle of joy, daughter, Advika, who was born in 2017. Advika became the reason behind her parents' happiness and with her, Chandan and Nandini are living the best phase of their lives.
In the end, all we can say to The Kapil Sharma Show is a big thank you, for making us smile even in the toughest of times.
