Raveena Tandon is one of the most renowned actresses in Bollywood who dominated the 90s and is currently going stronger. She has always taken a step towards experimentation and accepted challenging roles proving her mettle to the audiences. The diva last seen in the film, Patna Shuklla, is set to feature in the film, Welcome To The Jungle. It will be a sequel to the popular Welcome franchise. Amid her upcoming projects, the actress has expressed her desire to collaborate with Heeramandi director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Raveena Tandon did an ‘As me Anything’ on Instagram a day ago. She has been an active personality and often engages in conversations with her followers. During the session, one user asked her whether fans would get to see her work in a film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali or a Punjabi film alongside Diljit Dosanjh. In her reply to this question, Raveena revealed that she would love to work with them and shared an image of her from the film, Bombay Velvet. In the image, Raveena wore a heavy costume and jewellery like Bhansali's Heroine from his period dramas.The Mohra actress called it her Heeramandi look while expressing her desire to work with the ace filmmaker.

Raveena has an impressive acting career that spanned over three decades. However, she never planned on being a part of this industry. In one of her throwback interviews, Raveena shared that she was a little plump, reserved, and conscious kid. However, she still managed to secure lead roles in her school plays. Instead, she was interested in film direction and said ‘No’ to many acting offers before she signed her debut film. Raveena said that she is in this industry by default. However, she made the record clear by stating that her father never influenced someone to get any acting opportunity for her.
Raveena made her debut in 1991 with the film, Patthar Ke Phool, and has witnessed the film industry changing with time. New actors, technology, and trends have found their way into the world of glitz and glamour. The Dilwale actress believes that the film industry has changed in some ways and remains the same in others. She stated:
“A lot has changed but a lot remains the same. Like, in terms of content also the scene has changed, we have more female led stories and better roles written for actors.The workload is the same, it’s just as hectic. But there is a lot more organisation. Things on sets today go as per schedule.”

Apart from hectic schedules and well-written roles for females, Raveena has also felt another change in the film industry. She recalls saying that she went to sets without any training. However, the present lot of actors are more prepared for their roles. Explaining the difference, Raveena said:
“There is definitely a lot more seriousness from actors. No one takes things lightly anymore while shooting. I would say yes to a movie and the next day I was on set – no training, no preparations, nothing. Nowadays actors are all ready and prepared. So much has changed, we’ve evolved along the way.”
