Rashami Desai Didn't Talk To Sidharth Shukla For 9 Months, Says, 'It Had Just Gotten Very Bitter..'

Rashami Desai has built a name for herself in Indian households with her terrific stint in the Television industry in the last two decades. While the actress has been away from the small screen for a while now, she has been exploring regional cinema. Rashami was last seen in a Gujarati film, Mom Tane Nahi Samjay.

Rashami Desai opens up about her strained relationship with the late actor, Sidharth Shukla

Rashami Desi recently sat down to have a conversation with Bharti Singh on her podcast. During their chat, the actress addressed some of the unpleasant phases of her life. The actress also spoke about the late actor, Sidharth Shukla, revealing how they didn't get along while they worked on Dil Se Dil Tak. Rashami stated:

"I have worked with Siddharth and have had a very different experience. People have seen us in a very different light on Bigg Boss, we used to fight because I have a history with Sidharth Shukla. It had just gotten very bitter. In the 1.5 to 2 years that we worked together, there had been so many differences that we would not speak to each other. We didn't talk to each other for 9 months; our differences were so strong that we could not see each other’s faces. But when we worked, both of us were very professional."

In the same conversation, Rashami Desai reflected on her bittersweet equation with Sidharth Shukla during their appearance on Bigg Boss 13. She revealed that 2018 was not a good phase for her, and Siddharth knew about her struggles. Recalling an anecdote from the family week of Bigg Boss 13, she shared:

"Sidharth was a wonderful and very knowledgeable co-actor I have worked with. He had a good heart, too. Unfortunately, 2018 was not a very good phase that I had gone through. I saw a lot of ups and downs and he knew about it. So when on Bigg Boss, we had a family week, and he came to give me water, but only he knew what I was going through. We would communicate through our eyes, it was a very unsaid equation between us which I also respected."

Rashami revealed how Siddharth used to love kids. She recalled he would play with her niece when she would visit the actress on the set. Rashami added that though she had her differences with Siddharth, she never stopped him from interacting with her. 

Rashami Desai doesn't think Sidharth Shukla was a bad person

Rashami shared how she was going through a rough patch when she did Bigg Boss 13. She admitted that she and Sidharth had professional and personal issues which she didn't discuss then and would not now. She further added that talking about them now, especially when Sidharth was not around, didn't make sense to her, and just because they didn't get along didn't mean he was a bad person. She stated:

"Professionally, we have had our issues. Personally, also, we had a history that I didn’t speak about back then, and neither will I talk about it now. I respect that, and now that he isn’t around, it also doesn’t make sense. Just because we didn’t get along does not mean he was a bad person. There was a phase in my life where I couldn’t do anything."
