Ranveer Once Tried Convincing Varun Dhawan To Go On 'India's Got Latent', Netizen's Say 'That Was..'

Ranveer Allahbadia, famously known as 'BeerBiceps', is a YouTuber and podcaster recently appearing on Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent. However, things went south when the podcaster's statement created a wave of controversy online. Even though Ranveer posted an apology video addressing his crass remark on the show, the netizens are not ready to forgive him just yet.

Ranveer Allahbadia tried convincing Varun Dhawan to take a jab at India's Got Latent

Ranveer Allahbadia has found himself in a deep mess after he made an inappropriate joke on the show India's Got Latent. Despite his apology, the internet is not yet ready to let go, and rightfully so. Now, a user on Reddit has dug out a video of Ranveer Allahbadie trying to convince Varun Dhawan to go participate in India's Got Latent. 

For the unversed, Varun Dhawan made an appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast in January 2025. During the conversation, the duo talked about a spectrum of topics, among which one was for Varun to partake in Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent. Responding to the preposition, the actor stated:

"I would go for it. I could get cancelled but I feel maybe his show would get affected negatively. because the more eyeballs you get in that way sometimes when you are doing that humour. He is not scared of all that. I would do it in a skip of a heartbeat, but for the teams I am leading, I'll have to do it when I am not promoting a film. So that there is nobody else caught in the crossfire, because there will be a crossfire for sure."

As soon as the video made it on the internet, netizens noted how Ranveer stated that the kind of humour Samay Raina has opted for would soon transcend to Indian cinema as well. Users were not happy about the occurrences and chimed in to share their opinions, one user wrote, "That’s actually prophetic and quite smart take by Varun." Another user wrote, "BrAnD oF hUmOuR. Swearing and sexual references is komedi now. Lol okay. I saw it coming from a mile away. It’s almost as if these fakers have forgotten the aftermath of the AIB knockout roast." A user in a long post wrote:

"It's not that beerbatli's downfall is not making me happy, it's just that I think it is for the wrong reasons. People find a stupid but bizarre joke a lot more offensive than the patriarchal/racist/casteist bullshit these people are constantly spewing."

For the unversed, Ranveer Allahbadia appeared as a judge along with Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija, aka 'The Rebel Kid', on India's Got Latent. During the show, he asked a contestant if they would rather watch their parents be intimate for the rest of their lives or join them once and put a stop to it. This fueled a wave of backlash against Ranveer and the show.
