Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, is a popular podcaster and YouTuber who found himself in hot water a few months ago. In an episode of Samay Raina's India's Got Latent, one of Ranveer's jokes was deemed 'vulgar' by many people. Even though the podcaster apologised, FIRs were lodged against him. This difficult time made Ranveer think back to the days of financial hardships that his family had to face, he recently revealed.
Given the fact that Ranveer Allahbadia's parents are both renowned doctors, and he also studied in the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, which is one of the most elite institutions where celebrities' kids study, many people assumed that the podcaster came from an influential family. However, in a recent chat with Prafull Garg, Ranveer denied having a privileged background. In the interview, the content creator revealed that during his junior college years, his parents lost all their businesses, and a lot of things happened. In the chat, Ranveer was quoted as saying:
“I did my 11th and 12th standard from a local college, and at the same time, my family faced a huge problem. We lost all our businesses, a lot happened. I haven’t spoken about what happened during that six-year period. But they bounced back. "
Due to the ongoing financial crisis in their businesses, both his parents could not afford to send him abroad to get a higher education, stated Ranveer. Later, he started working at an engineering factory. Then he moved on to being a fitness trainer. In the same chat, Ranveer claimed that he funded his own diet, which he has often talked about, through the money that he earned by training others. Ranveer also stated that his content creation business was started with his own money, and his parents only gave him emotional support. The podcaster said:
"When I was 22, my parents genuinely didn’t have the money to fund my foreign education, or to fund my business. Right after college, I worked at an engineering factory, and then I started working as a fitness trainer. In fact, I funded my diet from the training I provided… My business is completely bootstrapped.”
Ranveer's father, Dr. Gautam Allahbadia, is a world-renowned IVF specialist. His mother, Dr. Swati Allahbadia, is also a well-known gynaecologist. Both of them founded Rotunda, a human reproduction health services centre based in Mumbai, which is also acclaimed worldwide. In the same interview, Ranveer stated that 'doctors start earning only after the age of 40', hence his parents' career also saw a sudden rise, and things were going very well before they were hit by financial problems.
