An FIR was lodged against him along with Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija for their remarks and use of abusive language. Ranveer has received a whole lot of backlash from internet users, and he even later apologised for the same. Ranveer Allahbadia once shared his possible Pakistani connection

On Bharti Singh's podcast, Ranveer Allahbadia was asked if he was from Allahabad, given his surname. To this, the YouTuber revealed the story he heard from his father. Ranveer said that his father told him that some of his ancestors were poets, and his actual surname is Arora, which is not written on paper. To this, Bharti got excited as being Arora roughly meant that Ranveer was also a Punjabi. He also added that his grandma from his father's side was Sardarni, and thus, his family's side belongs to poets. Ranveer also revealed another story that he got to know from his uncle.

Ranveer Allahbadia shared that he learned that his family is from Pakistan. Ranveer added that back in time, some of the families were given the titles, especially those who were educated. Ranveer mentioned that one of his great grandfathers was a professor at a Pakistani university, and was given the surname of 'Ilamabadi'. He remarked that when they moved to this side of the border, it transformed into Allahbadia. Ranveer stated that he himself doesn't know what is the truth, but there are these two stories that he got to know about.

Ranveer sparked controversy with inappropriate remarks on India's Got Latent

Ranveer Allahbadia graced one of the most-talked-about shows in recent times, India's Got Latent. The show has been catching headlines for all the negative reasons lately. Well, while being on the show, which is known for the judges roasting the constant, Ranveer talked to a female participant and abruptly ended up questioning about her parents. Ranveer asked if they would continue to watch their parents' intimacy or chip in to stop it forever. This shocked Samay as well. This insensitive comment didn't go well on social media, and Ranveer was massively slammed for the same as well. Following this, an FIR was lodged with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women's Commission, who demanded strict action against the accused, Samay, Ranveer, and Apoorva.

Ranveer Allahbadia extended an apology after his inappropriate remark on India's Got Latent

Ranveer Allahbadia later took to his social media handle and extended his apology after his remark on India's Got Latent. In the video message, he said that comedy was not his forte, and his joke wasn't only inappropriate but also not funny. He also expressed his hurt over his mistake in making such a comment, which would be witnessed by several age groups, thereby setting a bad example. He also added that he had asked the makers of the show to remove the parts where he made these remarks.
