Time and again, the Bong beauty of Bollywood left us mesmerised with her look. As Bengalis' biggest festival, Durga Puja, has begun, the Bollywood queens are ready to showcase their traditional fashion game. Durga puja is an emotion for a Bengali heart, and Rani is no exception. Each year, she takes part in the puja, and this year, too, she graced North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja. It was her look for the day that left us in awe.

On October 9, 2024, Rani Mukherji was papped out and about in the city as she graced the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja. Her Bengali girlie look for the day was top-notch. For the day, the actress wore a navy blue-hued saree with red borders adorned with multi-coloured prints. Rani teamed her saree with a sleeveless blouse in red-hue. Matching haar with a pair of earrings, finalised her look. Rani opted for soft-toned makeup and a half-tied hairdo to finalise her look. A blue bindi was enough to add the final touch to Rani's Bengali look for Maha Sasthi. In a video we could also spot Kajol, at the pandal. She was dolled up in an orange saree for the day.

Reports were rife that Rani Mukherji and Kajol's iconic Durga puja got a new address

For the unversed, Kajol has been hosting the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja for years now. Several famous stars from the B-town make their way to the pandal to take Durga Maa's aashirwaad. Well, it was reported by News18 that this year, Kajol and Rani would host their Durga puja near SNDT Women’s University in Juhu. And, it seems like the reports were not true.

Rani Mukherji's Dhunuchi nach from last year's Durga puja won hearts

Durga puja cannot be completed without the Bengali ladies performing Dhunuchi nach. It was last year when a video of Rani Mukherji made rounds on social media, wherein she was seen performing the Dhunuchi dance, which is a Bengali culture. For the day, Rani wore an olive green-toned saree with sleek borders. She teamed it with a strappy blouse. A pair of dangling earrings, sankha-pola, a red bindi, open hair, and soft makeup finalise her look.

As she shook her leg at the pandal, the audience was left delighted. In yet another video, Rani was seen dancing with ace choreographer, Vaibhavi Merchant. Well, all the videos left us in awe, as the actress paid utmost tribute to her traditional Bengali culture, from donning sankha pola to performing with Dhunuchi.

Durga puja is a four-day festival for which the Bengalis eagerly wait throughout the entire year. With the arrival of Durga Maa, the surroundings get magical. From pandal hopping, wearing new clothes, meeting friends and family, it's a festival of union. And Rani Mukherji, too, celebrates the same with utmost grace. It was during last year Maha Saptami, when Rani was seen posing for the paps wearing a cream-hued saree with broad golden borders. She teamed it with a matching blouse and looked every bit Bengali.
