Kolkata and Durga pujo is a match made in heaven. For the six days of festivity, the city of joy decks up with uniquely designed pandals, rangoli and street lights. With delicacies to die for and a day-long pandal hopping in beautiful traditional attire, Durga pujo in Kolkata is an experience like no other. As October 5, 2022, marked the visarjan of maa Durga, Bengali beauties, Kajol and Rani Mukerji celebrated the day with sindoor khela.
Though away from the city of joy, the actresses did not fail to create the true shades and essence of pujo, for which every Bengali waits the whole year. Even after getting married to non-Bengali actors, Kajol and Rani Mukerji are rooted in their maternal traditions and celebrate every ritual with great pomp and splendour.
