Rani Mukerji is one actress who knows how to put her heart and emotions into her work. On April 21, 2014, the superstar actress married the Chairman of Yash Raj Films - Aditya Chopra. It was on December 9, 2015, when the couple was blessed with Adira. The actress has always protected Adira from the media, and she, along with Aditya, is a very private person. She is one of the most successful actresses in Hindi cinema, and she has a true love story with Aditya. There was a time when Rani shared how Adira came into her life when she was 37, and it was her husband who pushed her back into the movies.
Once, during an interview with Pinkvilla, Rani shared that women should always remember to take their time and not be in a hurry to get married. She shared that one should do something with one's career and life. She spoke on the importance of making yourselves proud before making anybody else proud. Rani shared that it's also important to never give up on your work because her husband reminded me that after she had my baby. In her words:
"I obviously had my baby when I was I think 37 or 38, which is very very late. And I was completely consumed in my child because at 37 when you have a baby you feel you are the only mother who has given birth to a child. So I was completely immersed in my role of motherhood. So to speak my husband nodded, nudged me and said, 'Hello, You are Rani Mukherjee. You need to go back to the arclights. Your child is born. She will grow up. She will have her own life. But you cannot forget who you are. Your fans are waiting for you, so you need to go back to work.' And that's when I did Hitchki when my daughter was 14 months."
Rani further shared that Aditya was not okay with the actress just immersing herself in motherhood and insisted that she could not do this to herself. He made her realise the importance of being absolutely independent before one takes the plunge because it's essential for the man to respect the woman.
In an interview with Screen, Rani shared that she understood the meaning of true love after embracing motherhood. Till the time she had her child, she did not realise how she could love someone more than herself. At the same time, she had also lost her dad, so she knew what extreme pain felt like. Rani shared:
"As an actor, I channelise all my emotions and energy into my work. I feel the vacuum of my father, but instead of crying and brooding over it, I channelise the emotions. Adira is a very playful child and stays without me when I am working."
What do you think of Aditya Chopra motivating Rani Mukerji to get back to work after Adira was born?
