Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Bharat Sahni's daughter, Samara Sahni, received a lot of public scrutiny after a video of her went viral. In the clip, she was seen displeased and 'angry' as her nani, Neetu Kapoor, joined her in the photo session. Reports claimed that Samara pushed her, and there was a constant 'angry' expression on her face throughout it. Now, Samara finally broke her silence on the matter.
Recently, Farah Khan made a vlog featuring Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and her daughter, Samara Sahni, for her YouTube channel. Just before the food was served on the table, Farah questioned Samara about the viral video, wherein she seemed angry. However, Riddhima quickly jumped to her daughter's defence. She claimed that it is how her daughter wants to pose and give the 'blue steel look'. However, it appears that she is angry. Riddhima was quoted as saying:
"Samara ka kya hai na, ki, 'Mein agar camera mein dekhungi, toh I am just going to give like a blue steel look.' So, I told her that it looks like you are angry."
However, Samara, who seemed done by that time, stated that it was just a 'resting face', and it should not be a problem. She said, "Let a girl have a resting face. It's not a problem. It's just a resting face." Riddhima smiled and told her that she looked beautiful while smiling. In response, Samara said, "Yeah, smiling is good. I mean...normalise having a resting face."
When the video went viral, within a few days, Riddhima gave an interview and defended herself. In an interaction with the Hindustan Times, Riddhima stated that the whole video was blown out of proportion. She stated that her daughter was only trying to pose and was extremely excited. She said:
"The whole thing got blown out of proportion. The poor child was only trying to pose. She wasn’t upset. She was very excited, so much so that in the car she kept saying that, ‘Oh my God, I’m sure there are gonna be photographers and I’m gonna pose like this and that’. And because the paparazzi were asking us to come together, she just wanted to pose on her own. She didn’t push her nani. She was like ‘when did I push her? I was trying to pose myself. I was just trying to extend my arm and get comfortable. I was posing. I never pushed anyone."
Riddhima also revealed that Samara had also pointed out that when a video of her goofiness surfaced, people raised eyebrows and questioned. Riddhima added that the younger generation is aware of their surroundings and what's going on in it due to the exposure. She also revealed that she and her mother, Neetu Kapoor, often talk to Samara, so it doesn't have any adverse effect on her.
