Ranbir Kapoor Is A 'Simple Man' With 'Not Too Animalistic' Music Choices, Discloses His Top 5 Songs

Ranbir Kapoor is one such name who has become a constant topic of discussion ever since Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, Animal was released on the silver screens. As of now, the film has done a business of over Rs. 700 crores. Animal is Ranbir’s most successful film to date, and the audience loves not only the storyline but also the soundtrack of the film.

Ranbir Kapoor revealed which two songs from Animal are his favourites

In a recent video posted by the music streaming platform, Spotify, on their official Instagram account, Ranbir Kapoor revealed his simplistic choice of music. On the What’s On Your Spotify segment of the online music platform, the Animal actor revealed the two songs, which are on his playlist from Sandeep Vanga’s directorial. The first song is Arjan Vailly, by Manan Bhardwaj and Bhupinder Babbal, and he said that the same is a great hype song. Ranbir then disclosed that Satranga, sung by Arijit Singh, is on the second spot on his playlist. He mentioned how he felt about the song and said:

“It was so simple, that it really kind of just touched you and just made you feel good hearing the song.”

Ranbir Kapoor mentioned that Agar Tum Saath Ho from Tamasha still astonishes him

The 41-year-old actor mentioned that he enjoys listening to the song, Softly by Karan Aujla and appreciated the singer by saying that the latter has gotten a great beat. Towards the end of the video, Ranbir recalled that the 2015 song, Agar Tum Saath Ho, from his movie, Tamasha, still astonishes him as the song is always been on the top 50 playlist on Spotify India. Both songs are still popular and frequently appear in Spotify's Top 50 India playlist. 

Ranbir Kapoor has nursery rhymes on his playlist, and he also divulged that his music choice is ‘not too animalistic’

While Ranbir Kapoor was disclosing his favourite songs, he talked about his daughter, Raha, who just turned one in November 2023. For the unversed, Ranbir and Alia tied the knot in April 2022 and welcomed their bundle of joy, Raha in November of the same year. Ranbir divulged that the CoComelon playlist, which plays nursery rhymes for kids, is one of his top five picks due to his daughter. He explained that his daughter has learned that he uses his fingers on the phone to open Spotify and play her favourite tracks like, Wheels On The Bus, Baby Shark, Five Little Ducks, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Apple and Bananas, from the playlist. He concluded the video by saying that:

“Nothing too animalistic, I am a simple man, you know.”

When Ranbir Kapoor said that he does not have a premium Spotify account, it left the audience in splits

During the launch of the soundtrack of the film, Animal, Ranbir Kapoor disclosed that he still does not have a premium account on the music streaming platform, Spotify. He said he uses Alia Bhatt’s account for listening to songs. Ranbir disclosed that Alia Bhatt has subscribed to the family plan for the streaming platform, and every month, she shares her account details with him so that he can use it for free. The actor also mentioned that he finds it a bit of a hassle to enter the account details every month. The revelation was met with laughter from the audience. He said:

"I am on Alia’s family plan, mera free aajata hai (I get it for free). I am just saying that she has to put in her details every month. So is this an India problem or is this a Spotify problem."
