Popular television and film actor, Ram Kapoor recently grabbed a lot of media attention, not for a role, but for his brand-new, Lamborghini Urus SE. Ram Kapoor is not just known for his powerful and charming screen presence, but also for his love for cars. He already owns several luxury cars, and now he has added this stylish and powerful car to his collection. In no time of the purchase, photos and videos of the car went viral and many reports started claiming that he was the first Indian to own this car. Ram Kapoor recently broke the silence and addressed this claim.
Ram Kapoor in an interview with NDTV, addressed the false claims that he was the first Indian to buy this car. He said that four to five people had bought this car before him, including the cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar. He also added that, something that sets his car different from the others, is its rare colour. While talking to NDTV, he said:
"I’m not the first Indian to buy this car. Around four to five people had already bought it before me. But yes, you could say I’m the first Indian to buy it in this colour."
For those who don’t know, a few days ago, Ram Kapoor purchased the Lamborghini Urus SE, a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV. The car was officially launched in India in April 2024 and is priced at around Rs. 5.21 crore. Before this, the Bade Acche Lagte Hain actor, already owns luxury cars like Ferrari Portofino M, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Range Rover Autobiography, and Mercedes-AMG G 63. The photos of his brand-new car that went viral, also featured his wife, Gautami Kapoor.
Along with being in headlines for his new car, Ram Kapoor is also making headlines as he is all set to comeback on the screen with his web-series, Mistry, which will release on JioHotstar from June 27, 2025. Alongside Ram Kapoor, Mona Singh will also be seen with him in the series. In the show, Mistry, Ram Kapoor plays a private detective who is caught in a maze of lies, secrets, and crime. As he investigates a complex case, hidden truths begin to unfold, making the story interesting and unpredictable. Mona Singh plays the role of a police officer who crosses paths with him, adding more drama and depth to the plot.
Ram Kapoor was born in 1973, and he made his debut with the television show, Nyaay in 1999. But, he became a household name with his popular show, Bade Acche Lagte Hain. Over the years, he worked in several other TV shows and Bollywood films, which brought him a lot of love from the viewers. But, in the early days, Ram struggled a lot. He has also mentioned that after marriage, his wife Gautami supported the family while he searched for work. On the personal front, Ram Kapoor got married to Gautami in 2003 and the couple has two children. Ram Kapoor was recently seen on the sets of the show, Laughter Chefs Season 2, where he shared a fun moment with the paparazzi. Ram Kapoor also continues to inspire many people with his amazing weight loss journey and happy personal life.
