Amitabh Bachchan is an actor in the Indian film industry who never ceases to amaze audiences with his top-notch performances on screen. At 81, he still stands tall and has the ability to give the younger generation of actors a run for their money. In a career spanning over five decades, Amitabh has starred in innumerable blockbuster hit films. However, his 1990 film, Agneepath was unsuccessful at the box office.
Back in the '90s, the magazine, Illustrated Weekly, declared the end of Amitabh's flourishing career on the front page of one of its issues. Fast forward to now, Indian film director and screenwriter, Ram Goal Verma, turned the pages of history and took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share the same cover page of the magazine, but with a quirky caption.

On August 14, 2024, Ram Gopal Verma shared a picture in which Amitabh, wearing a beige-hued shirt, was seen leaning against a wall with his head hanging down, with a bold and capital 'Finished' printed across it. Sharing the cover page of the Illustrated Weekly of India, the director wrote:
"34 years back ILLUSTRATED WEEKLY magazine STATED this on its COVER and now ILLUSTRATED WEEKLY is FINISHED and @SrBachan is SOARING."
Soon after Ram Gopal Verma's post, netizens started penning down their thoughts on Illustrated Weekly's cover. While some people on the internet praise Amitabh Bachchan for keeping his stardom intact, others point out that a positive post from RGV is a rare phenomenon. One user said, "Amitabh sir is the IRON MAN of the Indian Film Industry." Another wrote, "Positive tweet from Ram Gopal Varma. It should be a rare phenomenon."

After rising to meteoric fame as the 'Angry Young Man' of India in the 1970s, Amitabh Bachchan's career declined in the 1980s, and he had a series of box office failures. The decline followed the next decade as well. However, his career was resurrected when he started hosting the quiz-based show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.
More recently, the 81-year-old was seen in the sci-fi film, Kalki 2898 AD, co-starring Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and others. The Nag Ashwin film has grossed over Rs. 1000 crore at the box office. Moreover, Amitabh Bachchan, who is now busy with the 16th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, will be next seen in Section 84 and Vettaiyan.
Apart from his professional front, Amitabh Bachchan has been married to Jaya Bachchan for over five decades now. The couple has two children, Abhishek and Shweta, who are well-settled in their respective lives. However, there have been reports for quite some time now stating that Amitabh and his family's tie with their bahu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, have not been well. There have been rumours for quite some time that Abhishek and Aishwarya had been facing serious troubles in their marriage, with the latter even moving out of her sasural with their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
