Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy: 'IGL' Guest Judges, Rakhi Sawant Uorfi Javed And More Summoned

Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy: 'IGL' Guest Judges, Rakhi Sawant Uorfi Javed And More Summoned

Samay Raina’s controversial comedy show, India’s Got Latent has grabbed eyeballs since the first day of its release. The show based on the theme of dark comedy on Youtube was often called out for featuring disrespectful comments, vulgar language and excessive use of inappropriate words. However, the issue came into limelight when an episode featuring Ranveee Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, and more went on-air. Certain remarks made during their episode enraged citizens leading to legal trouble. Amid this, many other popular personalities who previously appeared on the show are also being summoned by the police.

Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija and Samay are already in deep legal trouble and at the receiving end of hate. Amid this, other popular personalities including YouTuber Tanmay Bhatt, Uorfi Javed, Rakhi Sawant, Deepak Kalal and more have been summoned by Maharashtra’s cyber police department. As per a source close to The Indian Express, they have been called in the context of the FIR registered over Ranveer Allahbadia for his controversial comments on India’s Got Latent.

At the same time, a senior police officer has also confirmed that more comedians, influencers, content creators who appeared on the show have been summoned to investigate the alleged use of foul language and obscene content on the India's Got Latent. For those unaware, comedians like Amit Tandon, Maheep Singh, Ashish Solanki, Vipul Goyal, Bharti Singh, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Poonam Pandey, and more had previously graced the show.

Samay Raina has deleted all the episodes of India's Got Latent 

Amid the controversy over India's Got Latent, Samay Raina announced on February 12, 2025 that he has deleted all the videos of his show from YouTube. It has received mixed netizens and popular personalities. At the same time, the comedian took to his social media platform and shared his first reaction to the stir created around his show. He penned: 

“Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”

About India’s Got Latent controversy 

A major controversy erupted when a clip from Samay Raina's India Got Latent's latest episode went viral. During the show, Ranveer Allahbadia asked an inappropriate question to a contestant on whether he would watch his parents get intimate everyday for the rest of his life or join in once to stop it forever. It has sparked a massive outrage and Sanmati Pandey, 38, a Santacruz resident and a subscriber of Raina’s show also filed a complaint in her nearest police station. Although Ranveer issued an immediate apology, authorities have booked 30 people, including artists, hosts, judges, participants, organisers over creating and distributing absence content through the show.
