Rakhi Sawant, who is living in Dubai amidst her legal battles with Adil Durrani, invited Farah Khan to her home. Currently, the latter is busy shooting cooking vlogs with different actors, where she also reveals some unknown facts about them. Rakhi, who had been through a difficult journey, is rebuilding her life in Dubai. For the unversed, Rakhi Sawant was diagnosed with a tumour in her uterus in May 2024. After getting operated for the same, she is back hustling.
Bollywood actress, Rakhi Sawant never fails to entertain her audience, and there’s never a dull moment if she is present on the sets. However, did you know that the actress sold her house to make debut in her first music video? Recently, filmmaker, Farah Khan, has been busy visiting several actors’ house to shoot her cooking vlogs. When she visited Rakhi’s home in Dubai, she revealed that the actress sold her house to launch herself in Pardesiya.

Rakhi Sawant, who is known for her stint in Big Boss 14, was cooking with Farah Khan when the latter asked her if she remembers selling her house to finance the music video of Pardesiya. This incident happened just before the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Main Hoon Na. Farah Khan continued by saying that she had even advised Rakhi not to sell the house, but her dedication was to the next level. In Farah’s words:
“Meine bola tha, tu pagal hain kya, tu apne paise kyun laga rahi hain? But look at the conviction of this girl, usne apna ghar bechkar, Pardesiya, Khud ka video, khud ko launch kiya and that music video went super duper.”

In the video of the cooking vlog posted by Rakhi Sawant on her Instagram handle, she was seen sharing that the King Khan of Bollywood also liked and appreciated the music video. For the unversed, Rakhi Sawant has worked with SRK on the sets of Main Hoon Na, which marked her acting debut in Hindi films. In her words, “Shah Rukh ji ne bhi bola tha tera bohot achha gana aaya tha wo.” To this, Farah said:
“Aur uske baad Rakhi Sawant became Rakhi Sawant.”
Recalling the audition, Rakhi Sawant revealed that she used to live in a chawl, where she couldn’t wear short clothes. However, the requirement for the role of ‘Mini’ in Main Hoon Na was to wear mini outfits. So, she borrowed a burkha from her neighbour and gave the audition. Initially, the makers thought she was just another girl, but when Rakhi removed the burkha, they were shocked to see her performance. On the same day of the audition, Rakhi got a text from Farah regarding the confirmation of her role in the movie, and hence, her acting journey started.
