Rakhi Sawant Reacts To Cyber Cell Summons On 'IGL' Row: 'Maine Kisiko Gaaliyan Nahi Di'

The entertainment industry has been in a state of frenzy for the past few days, due to the controversies surrounding comedian, Samay Raina’s YouTube show, India’s Got Latent. The row escalated after YouTuber, Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, made some inappropriate comments on the show which were viewed as vulgar. The case is now pulling in more celebrities who have previously appeared on the show, including Rakhi Sawant, who has reportedly been summoned by the Maharashtra cyber cell.

The Cyber Cell is currently investigating multiple individuals who appeared on India’s Got Latent, a controversial YouTube show hosted by Samay Raina. Rakhi, who was featured as a guest in the show previously, has been asked to record her statement on February 27, 2025. However, the actress has now claimed that she has not received any legal notice yet and emphasized that she doesn’t even live in India. In a video that’s been making rounds on social media, Rakhi was heard saying:

“Mujhe summon bhejne ka matlab nahi hai doston. Aap mereko video call kariye, main aapke sare sawalon ka jawab dene ke liye tayaar hoon. Main ek artist hoon, mujhe paise deke interview ke liye bulaya gaya tha. Maine interview diya, kisiko galiyan nahi di. Toh mereko summon bhejne ka matlab kya hai?"

Rakhi Sawant demands rape cases to be solved first

The TV actress took a dig at law enforcement, claiming that their first priority should be to deliver justice for actual crimes, and delivering justice in pending sexual assault cases rather than interrogating her for an interview. She said:

“First, pending rape cases ko solve kijiye. Main toh bhikaran hoon, mere paas ek rupaya bhi nahi hain ki aapko de saku. Main Dubai mein rehti hoon, mere paas kaam nahi hai. Har din ladkiyon ke saath balatkar ho raha hai, unke parivaron ke liye kuch karo. Taras khao yaar unke maa-baap par. Unke criminals ko pehle saza do yaar. Humne to koi gunaah nahi kiya, hum to white collar hain."

Rakhi also shared that she resides outside India, and suggested that if authorities really need her statement, they should conduct a video call instead of summoning her in person.

More celebs and creators under fire in India’s Got Latent controversy

The row surrounding India’s Got Latent has already pulled in more than 50 content creators, influencers, and comedians, including Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija. According to reports, Ranveer has been summoned for questioning on February 24, 2025, while Ashish has been granted interim bail from the Gauhati High Court.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has granted protection to Ranveer but slammed his comments, calling them ‘vulgar’. The controversy erupted after Ranveer’s statements on parents and sex in an episode of the show sparked massive backlash.
