Rakesh Roshan Reacts To Hrithik Roshan And Sussanne Khan's Divorce, 'They Had A Misunderstanding..'

Hrithik Roshan, the Greek God of Bollywood, won the hearts of millions when he made his debut with the movie, Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai back in 2000. The handsome hunk instantly carved a place for him in the hearts of his female fanbase. Well, his female fans were left heartbroken when he got married to his childhood sweetheart, Sussanne Khan. The duo is the parents of two sons. Moreover, it was 14 years after their marriage when Hrithik and Sussanne parted ways. Cut to now, they are living their lives happily with their respective partners.

Rakesh Roshan talks about Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan's divorce

Recently, Rakesh Roshan opened up about his son's divorce with Sussanne Khan and mentioned that there had been some misunderstanding. In an interview with Yuvaa, Rakesh said that for him, Sussanne is just like she has always been, and whatever has happened, happened between the couple. Talking more about the ex-couple, Rakesh remarked that those two once fell in love, and had a misunderstanding, which they have to solve all by themselves. He also stated that Sussanne is still a member of their family. In Rakesh's words:

"Whatever has happened has happened between the couple, for me Sussanne is Sussanne. They were the ones who fell in love, they were the ones who had a misunderstanding, and they have to solve it. For us, she came to our house, and she is still a member of the house."

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan's divorce came as a shock to many, but they have no bad blood between them. In fact, they treat each other like their families still, and often cheer for one another. Be it Hrithik or Sussanne, they often join each other in the celebration of their families, such as birthdays, and both of them share great equations with each other's current partners as well.

Rakesh Roshan talks about his bond with his kids

Going further in the interview, Rakesh Roshan talked about the kind of equation he shares with his kids. He stated that his kids are still scared of him and it could be because he is a well-disciplined man and short-tempered. He further remarked that he's not someone who would scold around people, but he's disciplined. Rakesh Roshan added that earlier, when his kids were little, they wouldn't talk to him much, but now they talk openly. Rakesh Roshan can be quoted as saying:

"Hrithik and my daughter are a little scared of me. I don't know, maybe because I am a well disciplined man. I am not a short tempered person, I am not a person who will scold anybody but I am very disciplined. When they were little, they wouldn't talk to me openly, now they do. Now we are like friends at home."

When Sussanne Khan talked about the reason for her divorce from her ex-husband, Hrithik Roshan

Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan have always been cordial with one another, and they never really talked much about their divorce initially. It was after two years of their divorce, that in an interview dated back in 2016, Sussanne Khan finally opened up about her divorce. Talking about this, Sussanne shared that she and Hrithik reached a stage in their lives where they thought it would be better if they were not together. She said that it was important for them to be aware of this and not be in a false relationship. She also added that even though they were divorced, they were close friends.
