Rajvir Jawanda Couldn't Fulfill His Father's Dreams Before Latter's Death, 'Losing When His Son...'

Punjabi singer, Rajvir Jawanda left the world too soon. He passed away on October 8, 2025, at 35 years of age, following a fatal motorcycle accident. After battling for his life for 11 days, he succumbed to multiple organ failures. The news of his passing sent shockwaves through the Punjabi entertainment industry and among his fans nationwide. Amid the period of mourning, his promise to his late father surfaced, who had a tragic death as well. The singer wanted to fulfil his father's dreams, but unfortunately, Rajvir's death snatched away the opportunity from him.

Rajvir Jawanda's father passed away before the singer could fulfil his dreams

Rajvir Jawanda's father, Karam Singh Jawanda, died on August 14, 2021, due to a liver infection. He was suffering from liver issues for a long time and was undergoing treatment for the same, but with no luck. The Munda Like Me singer received the news of his father's death through a call during a live performance, but he suppressed his grief and continued singing until the program ended. Following his father's demise, Rajvir took to Instagram to post his picture alongwith an emotional caption in Punjabi, mentioning the purity of a father-son relationship.

He honoured his father for facing 'millions of difficulties' to provide his children with a good life. Karam Singh Jawanda, who served in the Punjab Police, was an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI). Rajvir mentioned his unique bond with his father, noting how the latter would be happy when his son succeeds, even if it means his own defeat. The Kali Jawande Di singer then promised to strive to fulfil his father's dreams, even if his father was no longer around to see it. Rajvir's heartfelt words could be read as:

"Father-son relationships are very important. Only a father would feel happy even after losing when his son wins against him. My father Karam Singh Jawanda said goodbye to us forever. He gave us a wonderful life after facing millions of difficulties. I will try to fulfill your dreams. I miss u dad."

Like his father, Rajvir Jawanda was a police officer before transitioning to singing

Rajvir initially followed in his father's footsteps by joining the police force as a constable in 2011. Even while serving in the police force, he pursued his passion for music, sometimes recording songs or performing shows after his night shifts. In 2019, after working for the force for approximately nine years, he resigned to pursue a full-time career as a professional singer. He wanted to make his family feel proud of his career switch. But with Rajvir's demise in 2025, his wish remained unfulfilled.
