Famous Punjabi singer, Rajvir Jawanda, reportedly has been severely injured after encountering a major accident on September 27, 2025. The singer was heading towards Shimla, and according to an Economic Times report, Rajvir, who was riding his motorcycle, met with an accident. The Kamla singer received a serious head injury and was given immediate medical attention. He was then shifted to Fortis for advanced treatment.
There were reports floating stating that the singer suffered a heart attack while being taken to the hospital, but these claims could not be verified. The accident caused damage to Rajvir's bike, and his condition is currently critical. Neither Rajvir's team nor Fortis Hospital has issued an official statement regarding his current condition. For the uninitiated, Rajvir was born on June 20, 1987, to Sikh parents, Sardar Karam Singh and Sardarni Paramjit Kaur. Rajvir is best known for his songs, such as Kamla and Kangani, to name a few, which have been streamed more than 6 million times on the music platform, Spotify. He also rose to fame with movies such as Jind Jaan, Mindo Taseeldarni, Subedar Joginder Singh, to name a few. According to a report by Famous Birthdays, Rajvir's Spotify audience reportedly reached 460,000 listeners by November 2022. Although you probably don't know this, before becoming famous, Rajvir once went to Punjabi University located in Patiala and also took a training course with the Punjabi Police.
Rajvir was very much interested in Punjabi cinema, and in Jind Jaan, he played a lead role next to actress, Sara Sharma. The story of the movie was about love, danger, as well as travel. Rajvir also contributed to the war movie Subedar Joginder Singh and has been recognised for his work in Kaka Ji (2019). However, it is interesting to note that with Jind Jaan in the album, Rajvir released seven of his tracks. Rajvir has been best known for his singles such as Sohni, Morni, Oh Hai Nihang, Apne Vyah De Vich, Do Ni Sajna, Khush Reha Kar, and Background, to name a few. He has been known for his power-packed music, voice, emotional expressions, and for showcasing his deep-rooted Punjabi culture. Even in the track, Purab Mubarak, Rajvir had an immense contribution towards honouring Guru Nanak Dev Ji's message related to 'oneness'.

According to an ETimes report, there was a time when Rajvir wanted to leave the music industry after his graduation, and the Punjabi music scene was going through a tough time. Everyone was following the same singing and music pattern. The creativity of the singers declined, and Rajvir started feeling demotivated. Although the report stated that Rajvir met Jasvir Pal Singh, who had started a new record label and wanted to launch him. That is how it is said, Rajvir again found love in singing.
